It's the same thing?! Same as what? Is ilum going to prevent you from PvEing until you PvP??? What are you talking about??? Where did this come from??? Link?

This is a bit of a non complaint really. The content is not being put in for people who only want to pve, they have raids, flash points and dailies for that. This content is for pvp players. The fact you are on a pve server does not mean that all content is for pve players. If you don't like the pvp element, then jog on, it's not content for you. So what if there are some normal quests there, those are to encourage pvp, so they are pvp quests. The fact you may end up killing a mob or two does not make the content pve.

As a player on a PvE server, I disagree to that. In my view PvE servers ought to have forced PvP flags in certain areas, however developers should try not to throw in PvE oriented content into those areas. For example how to do it right would be Wintergrasp in WoW.

Whereas on PvP servers forced flagging never ought to be limited to certain areas, it should simply always be on.
This new Ilum sounds IDENTICAL to Wintergrasp...

Calm down. We're all just speculating. They said Ilum would get a PVP reboot and now they're opening a new area on Ilum involving the Gree. Most of us are just 2+2-ing.

If this IS the case, and they do open a new area with PVE quests in an auto-flagged area, then yes. They're forcing us to PVP in order to do the PVE stuff.

That's the way i kind of read it,this may be some PVP with alittle PVE'ish in it for PVP'ers (Did that make sense?)
,maybe the items that drop are for PVP too,so why would PVE'rs even want that if that is the case, granted we dont know yet anyhow.

By the way,PVP'ers have far less content than thier PVE brothers, just saying.

Are you contending that EVERY quest given, MUST be PvE only? Because that's what it sounds like and that's just wrong.

PvE quests in PvP zones can provide a wonderful way to offset imbalances with NPCs, give players stuff to do while they wait for others and they can also be used to dictate WHERE they want players to go.

Bottom line - PvP area. Quests are optional. Skip it if ur scared.

If all of the awards are PVP related, fine. If they have general awards like pets, speeders, etc, then again it it's fair to people that don't enjoy PVP (don't enjoy PVP = they don't have any expertise). Unless, of course, they disable expertise within the area.

I agree! It's very fair to have PvE specific rewards and PvP specific rewards. I'm pleased you agree. It encourages people to participate in both.

Fine. Then they need to gimp people in PVP gear in Mekeb and make it to where they die very easily to NPCs. Don't like it? It's a PVE area. Skip it if ur scared.

All the speculation is a bit stupid at the moment. Maybe the daily quests or whatever is there will award pvp items or commendations. If they do then pve players have no complaint at all. Wait till we see the rewards.

If they do award pvp items/coms then it's just for pvp players.

I get the feeling a lot of the complaining is just pve players assuming all content should be for them. As a pvp player why should I have to raid to get all the new gear when a new raid comes out, oh that's right the gear is no good for and the content is not for me.
