Why was my ship on fire?

So you're okay with the fact that people bend physics with travelling...

It's theoretically impossible to go the speed of light, but they seem to be doing it all the time in this game and the movies.

Also, even if they were going the speed of light, they wouldn't get very far in the time they spend travelling. Wasn't there just some Quasar group that was found to be 4 billion light years wide at it's longest point? Yeah, light speed wouldn't really help you traverse that, would it?

Shall we now touch upon the ability to use force powers or can we just let the science go when it comes to a fantasy setting such as Star Wars?

Gonna fix that for you. (H=Hydrogen 1 aka protium, D=Hydrogen 2 aka deuterium, He=Helium.)
2H -> D
H + D -> He (mass 3)
2He(mass 3) -> 2H + He(mass 4)
It's pretty complicated stuff that I don't understand all that well.

In regard to the OP, I'm going to say the flames you see on your ship are the result of outgassing from damaged fuel/oxygen lines of your ship.

For the traveling part it's actually very theoretically possible to travel faster than the speed of light. The theory being that you bend space around you so that while you are not breaking the speed of light, you are getting to your destination faster than it would take at lightspeed.

Yep. Also with this theory with unlimited energy instantaneous interstellar travel could be possible. I am going to keep linking this TV series since Michio Kaku is my personal hero:

Of all the questions posed and answered. i can answer this on one phrase.

Because this is a game, not a simulator.

Stop trolling the EU. Fix the downtimes to the middle of the night and not in the middle of the morning / day.

I recommend the Harvest Moon franchise. All of them. On every system ever made by Nintendo.
I'll probably die if you group with me, but I'll go out with both lightsabers drawn stabbing someone in the face. Probably you, but it's cool. Forever Shenanigans!!

If I'm not mistaken those same scientist also say, the energy required for this is more then all of the universe.

Even with that being said, I think we as a race know so very little about the universe and how it works. That saying anything isn't possible is a bit arrogant on our part.

Also to the OP what makes you think it was a fire, and not say plasma.

This.

But if it helps, a hull breach with oxygen escaping through said breach could indeed sustain a fire in space.
