The oxygen comes from inside your ship too. The flames consume it as it would in a planetary atmosphere. Believe it or not Fire is one of the worst fear of astronauts specifically because it consume the oxygen they breath.

IRL the fire would stop fast because it would "burn" the ship oxygen really fast but in swtor with our ship's long term life support system it seems to burn for a while.

That and "suspension of disbelief" mentioned above.

Sometimes that's true.

Other times, things (ie. lightsabers) break so many laws of physics that they can only be explained with one word... Magic. That's perfectably acceptable logic for a fantasy story, even one set in space.

WOW, the sun is not on fire doofus. Combustion is a chemical reaction that is wholly different from the Sun's nuclear fusion.

Actually, Mr. Science, the sun is on fire. Nuclear fire is still a fire.

Maybe you've got a leak in your Life Support system?

Really though, in the Lucas universe the laws of science do not apply. Just go with it.

Only the meek get pinched. The bold survive.

Thank you!

The Sun is (mostly) hydrogen if it was burning it would do:

2 Hydrogen molecules + Oxygen molecule ---> 2 molecules of water

It doesn't instead it does:

2 Hydrogen molecules -------> 1 Helium atom (+energy lots and lots and lots of energy)

Oh no not the "why is there fire and explosions in space" guys, guess they would have to show up some time.

Actually doofus, the sun is very much on fire.
