And last some players just miss that quest.
On the other hand, if someone misses it, but sees all these people running around with "Sentinel", "Scoundrel", "Vanguard" and whatnot, I would think they could ask someone. This is a MMO.

I agree about the class bag. That should just come up in a reward window like someone said.
Below this is my referral link. If you press it you get free stuff and I get free stuff. This makes you, me....and Bioware happy, but don't let that stop you!

I don't understand how someone can miss an email that says "here's a bunch of tokens, go to the fleet and see <vendor's name> in combat training area on you fleet's station to purchase advanced gear" or something very similar to that.

I also don't understand how someone can not upgrade their gear when the level out. Even on my first toon I had a full set of level 50 orange already waiting in storage well before I capped out. I guess some people don't save/manage their money very well and don't understand the concept of shopping sensibly on the GTN. You make so much money leveling if you have any sense, and modded up orange and purple armor is so cheap on the GTN that there's literally no excuse for running around with green gear after you hit 50.

Heck, my current level 45 inquisitor has a full set of modded level 50 purples waiting already, with no help from my other toons. After a couple days of heroics upgrading the armorings her gear will be better than a tionese set. So why can't anybody else figure this stuff out? I guess it's just complete MMO noobness.

I agree. Have the class quests direct you to the Advanced Class trainers, before taking you to the shuttles. Also, I think the bags should be a reward after you select your AC. You're likely going to have to go to the shuttles before the quest is finished, but it could be done the BH Story on Hutta, where you get credits from Nem'ro's accountant, but no XP.

That is when you get them. That's what determines which bag you get. For example if you choose mercenary you get a bag with a set of alacrity/crit armor and an offhand pistol vs. powertechs get a bag with crit/accuracy gear and a shield. The problem is it doesn't clearly tell you to look in your inventory for your new stuff. It should be a pop-up window with a quest reward so that you know it's being given to you. The first time I got one the only way I knew it was there is when the vendor wouldn't buy it from me.

Hmm, we were poor, all we had was a box fan in the window, no air conditioning here. So I don't know nothing bout no bag you get with air conditioners. Could you maybe describe what it looks like? Maybe I can help some o them folks find the bag if'n they is missing it.
I'll tell you what, then. Why don't you call me some time when you have no class?

I agree on the bag issue. I missed it as well....even after knowing about it...it can be missed as it looks very much like other vendor trash (and if you just sprinted from the started planet cause your excited like I always am...you have a bag full of vendor trash )

I'm about halfway on the AC quest. I didn't miss it the first time...specifically because i WAS exploring. Im not sure why someone new to the game wouldn't be looking around, grabbing every quest available. though I suppose if your not MMO oriented you may skip quest indicators, but I've been playing MMO's so long to me I know instinctively that the available quests will usually guide me to where I need to go, what to do, etc.

However, in spite of that I agree...with the effort they put into adding NPCs to "give" you a totally new quest, they could have simply added an "additional" quest step to talk to an AC guy first. its just a bit odd that it was totally separate aspect. It should still be Optional...perhaps a "bonus" quest that pops up when you hit fleet and flashes at you or something. But it really shouldn't have to be as obtuse as it is...though I didn't find it an issue.

I'd got through 2 or 3 characters before realising this.

O.O How do you keep something that long, when your inventory would have been filled?

I just had to comment here.. I am not sure how easier they could make this process. If you follow your little cookie crumbs of quests you get off the lift at the fleet and BAM! your advanced class quest giver is right there. When you go and talk to that guy it tells you in the quest that you are given gear to help you in your tasks, and well it is just hard to believe that people sit and let stuff stay in their bags for levels and levels without looking inside it, they clearly can't sell it. Now Yes there are many who for whatever reason bypass that guy when they first get off the lift, or never open that bag for some reason, but honestly how much easier do you want to make it? That is just .. well.. stupid.

As for getting 'orange' gear when you hit 50. That is new. First we got nothing. Then it was rare to find anyone that knew about getting the blue gear, however there is NO WAY that anyone can claim not knowing about the new orange gear, except for the fact they get the mail message, accept the item and the quest, and then never go turn it in. Sorry again that is not the designers fault. It says right in the quest it is for GEAR. Come on people. You turn the quest in and get 99 tionese com's. This is totally gimme gear at this point. How much easier do you want these guys to make it for you. If you can't follow the directions on a quest then honestly you don't deserve the gear.

Hmm, 9 lvl 50s now and I've never opened the bag on any of them. Live and learn, I guess.
It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.
