Four Month Old Bugs Bioware Isn't Aware of

This is a partial list of some issues that have neither been fixed nor acknowledged by Bioware for about four months now. Feel free to add to this list.

1. Jedi Shadow (and presumably Sith Assassin) lightsabers do not become stealthed when you stealth if the weapon is holstered as stealth is activated. This results in a totally visible floating lightsaber following you around. This applies to your companion's weapon as well. The bug does not occur (that is, your lightsaber and your companion's weapon stealth properly) if your weapon is drawn when you activate stealth.

This bug has existed since 1.4. Before 1.4, this bug didn't exist, and shadow lightsabers stealthed with you even when the weapon is sheathed.

This is not just a cosmetic glitch, it has some impact on pvp as well. When your lightsaber is visible to you because of this bug, it is visible to enemy players as well IF they can see your stealthed outline (that is, detected). While you are supposed to be somewhat visible to the enemy when this occurs, the stealth outline does provide some camouflage which is ruined by the floating lightsaber which makes it much easier to spot you.

This affects dueling more than warzones because your floating lightsaber is visible to your opponent until the countdown reaches zero, so they know exactly where you are as soon as combat begins (they can follow your visible lightsaber around and stand right on top of you to knock you out of stealth just as the duel begins). This occurs whether you are grouped with the person or not.

Strangely, this used to be on the known issues list but was removed. Maybe they thought they fixed it even though they did not.

2. Warzone Group Queue Bug
Sometimes, when queuing for warzones as a group, the queue can break such that you never get any pops. This can be fixed by having everyone in the group relog. Sometimes, if one or more members of the group leaves or drops queue, it may also fix the bug.

The precise cause of this bug is unknown to me, but I suspect it has something to do with inviting new members to the group under certain conditions. One might question whether this bug exists at all, as it is remotely possible that the group is not getting pops. However, this has been going on for a long time, since BEFORE 1.4. I am not sure when it started exactly. I think it was introduced in one of the patches between 1.3 and 1.4.

Most members of the PvP community know this bug exists. It is not uncommon for a group of four (or fewer) queuing for warzones to not get any pops for 20 minutes or more when affected by this bug, even when the server population is heavy and many other groups of the same size who queued afterwards get into warzones. I believe the longest I've gone without pops when affected by this bug is in the ballpark of 40 minutes. Usually, the entire group relogs long before then.

Perhaps the best evidence for the existence of this bug is that this issue never occurs while solo queuing, and on more than one occasion, two full rated teams queuing at the same time with no other rated teams queuing have not gotten any pops until one team or the other has relogged.

3. Holiday (Jedi Shadow companion's companion) does not appear on any major planet! That is, Holiday does not appear when your companion Tharan Cedrax channels his mez ability "Deploy Holiday" in combat. Holiday DOES appear in small zones like the Black Hole area on Corellia, but not in any large planetary zone like the main part of Corellia, Coruscant, Taris, Nar Shaddaa, Tatooine, Alderaan, Belsavis, Voss, Hoth, etc. She doesn't even appear in Section X!

This occurs regardless of graphic settings, as it is the case even at max settings. I asked a friend to test it as well so it happens even with different computer setups. This bug has been around since 1.4, and might apply to more companion ability graphical effects than just Holiday (I have not tested them all, and do not have any Imperial characters yet). Holiday is just the most noticeable.

wasnt there a post identical to this one but a day or two ago?

Also they are aware of most if not all of them. Thanks to Bug reports and CS forum response on Threads made about these bugs.

I posted these specifically because I'm fairly confident Bioware is unaware of them. None of these are on the known issues list. Could you link to the threads/posts where Customer Service acknowledged these issues? If so, I'll remove them from my list. I would be glad to know that someone from Bioware has acknowledged one or more of these issues.
