Just recently hit 50; so I started to do some research into what spec would be the most viable for PvP. It would seem that a Hybrid build seems to perform better for most people, so I made a build and was just wondering what people thought of it? All criticism welcome, guessing it needs a bit of tweaking; just need some help in doing so.
Thanks

This is the spec I suggest to most newer sorcerers. It is one of the more effective hyrbids and gives you plenty of utility and force. The damage is pretty good only second really to the 7/17/16 spec and polarity shift can be good for off healing or decent burst. Madness is also good with even more superior 1v1 kiting to the hybrid but lacks the aoe pressure and single target burst needed in ranked. Full lightning isn't bad either but it takes a lot of skill kiting wise and has great single target burst but still isn't that effective in pvp.

I hope this helps

You don't really need Parasitism unless you have two DoTs and also Devour up in T6. Devour makes Parasitism worth taking and Creeping Terror doubles your chances of it proccing. Without them it's two wasted points.

Same thing with Deathmark. You only have one DoT and it doesn't do much damage. 15 seconds off on your instant WW and another 2 sec lockout on Jolt is a much better choice. I also choose to take 3% crit from Corruption.

Here are the two of my preferred hybrids, one dps, one heals.

DPS: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#20...rbMrZcMcRsMz.2
Reserves and Exsanguinate in the lightning tree can be switched out depending on preference, the force management is good enough to go with 500 force.

HEALS: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#20...zZfzMRbMrZ0z.2
With this spec toss out an Affliction or two between heals. Then you just need to throw in a force lightning every once in a while. Each tick of FL can crit and trigger Lightning Effusion, making your next two heals half force cost.

I'd put the points from oppressing force into chain shock, but otherwise agreed. If you're going lightning madness hybrid, this is (more or less) the spec you want. Polarity shift can free you up to fish for lightning storm procs then you can throw out some pretty decent aoe burst with CL and DF back to back. Deathmark isn't great without the extra dot anyway and parasitism becomes useful only when you have points in creeping terror and devour.

Never understood the thinking behind that spec. Lose the 31 point root/dot to gain either barrage or electric bindings...but not both. The first way sacrifices a little bit of total damage and a great kiting tool for a little bit of burst vs madness. The second way sacrifices a bunch of damage for a better root on a longer cooldown vs madness. Both sacrifice dps and survivability vs the "more even" hybrid specs.
