warning 22 char limit on servers

2 class quest are not repeatable and those are the best part of the game so i just rerol alts to do them again

But that's my point exactly. If you don't like endgame, what value do the old level 50s grant you? Delete an old 50 to make room if you never do end game. It's the same as if you play a single player game and start over, the old one is gone, not sure why you need a bunch of class clones that you aren't actually using.

Makeb and future expansion are for level 50 char i am keeping them for that.

I don't think the OP's point is that all 24 of the characters they have are "too important to delete" (although that might be the case) I think the whole point was a simple warning that you can buy more character slots than you can actually use and they wanted to make people aware of this, not realising a dev had already said it.

Yesterday, when the patch went live Joveth made a post that lead some people, myself included, to the conclusion that that as long as your total account limit of 350 wasn't exceeded, you could have as many characters on one server as you wanted. I would assume the OP saw this, before the dev posted the correction, and then went and bought 13 new slots, 12 to "unlock" the characters they already had (because if there was an alternative to deleting them, hey why not?) and then one extra in preparation for the Cathar. Now the OP is in the position where they have to delete a character to make space (or roll on another server) and they still have three useless slots. I see the post as more of "don't make the same mistake I did" more than anything else.

The problem is that within the first page the tone of the thread became decidedly argumentative and the OP is responding in kind, no matter how pertinent the question is.

Although I would guess, if there was a maximum number of slots purchasable, it would be 20 to allow FTPers to get the maximum 22.

Again, there are only 16 ACs. If you kept one 50 of every AC you would have 16 not 24.

To Twisteddm point. I do understand that. My question is somewhat off topic. I've seen several people complaining that 22 still isn't enough. I just want to understand what could possibly need those extra characters for. And my assertions that they are "too important to delete" the OP specifically mentioned not wanting to have delete 3 characters to make the 1 Cathar when that becomes an option.

Yeah, the conversation kind of jumped ahead whilst I was writing my wall o' text, so I missed that part. Honestly, I'm with you, 16 slots, to cover all ACs is understandable. More than that I'm at a loss really, but hey, each to their own. Some people like repeating content and rolling a duplicate alt is the only way to do it in this game.

finaly someone who understands.the problem i have is that not everyone reads dev post so if they impose a char limit on the server it should be said in the patchnotes and in the cartel market when you buy the unlock so everybody know

If your only problem is that you overbought then open a CS ticket or call and get it refunded. The problem as I've read it is you over bought plus you wanted more than 22 characters. I'm just trying to understand why you need more than 22. Since you still haven't really been able to answer the question it seems you don't have one or don't understand your own motivations. That's fine, it's your money to waste (God knows I've wasted plenty on this game lol) I was just hoping to gain some incite and see how other people played.

The only issue i see is you bought 3 too many before they posted it or you realized. Just put in a ticket and hopefully they get back to you soon with a refund.Now on to the toon limit,if you bought 13 yesterday,wellwheres the problem at because the way i see it is there is no way in hell you created 10 more toons yesterday and got them establish to where you can't delete on for your cathar.Just my 2 cents.

What difference does it make if OP wants 16, 22 or 150 characters on one server? Do you pay the OP sub? Since you don't why should care what they do? Its so annoying how much you care what someone else does that has no effect on you. Get a life.

Back to point of the thread. Yes they screwed OP and anyone else that bought more then 10. Yesterday after server came back up CS commented twice in same thread about being able to get 350 characters on 1 server. CS mislead people.
