That is garbage, imo.
I wonder which countries you all live where company customer services are toll free, as in the Netherlands, it's most definitely not the case. Local costs pretty much always apply, it comes by very rare exception that that's not the case. Better yet, many customer support services even use additional fee systems, making EA with their choice of local rate one of the good guys.

So yes it actually is a valid complaint, as the freaking CS calls often have several hours wait time this becomes more of an issue.
I think you are right!
I assumed the VOIP line would still be free as I had to call them a week ago and my Skype account isn't linked to anything chargeable. But I Cannot find it on the website anymore.

In that case I agree with the complaint.

I wasn't aware there were even landline providers that still offered "long-distance rates" at least for nationwide calls, both the cable and tele providers here have it rolled into the basic package. Maybe you should be venting some of your rage on your crap telephone provider and make them get with the rest of the country who has free nationwide calling
Honor, no matter how dire the circumstance... never forsake it.

I use my cell phone, Verizon. Put CS # in my circle and 'ta da!' all my calls to CS are free!

Wow... though I have to say, not at all a surprise. It's like BW/EA don't want people to play this game.

Tickets are still free, they are probably trying to encourage people to place tickets, which are also easier to prioritize and probably faster to process.

Blizzard doesn't even have a CSR number, you can only call for Billing and Tech Support.

That said, if the number isn't toll free any longer they need to add online tools that allow us to manage our own security keys.

Then i'm going to encourage them to not close tickets with no response, and to make security keys possible to deal with through tickets.

Just wait until they flip it to a 900 number later this year. 25 cents a minute you get to pay them to use customer support, or wait on hold for an answer...
