Greetings All,

I was about to point people at this thread as unleashed was the culprit there.

This worked for me:
1) delete the "patch" folder
2) delete patcher.version
3) delete retailclient_swtor.version
4) go to www.swtor.com/download (get the latest launcher setup file)
5) install the file
6) run the FixLauncher.exe file (DO NOT RUN the new SWTOR_setup - this will install the whole game new)

and there it goes - i can run the game now.
hope this helps guys
from here...

SWTOR Unleashed is a utility that automates loading part of the game to RAM disk. It can significantly speed up loading times once in-game (even if you have solid state drives) and also can increase frame rates.
If you don't know what it is chances are you are not using it since you have to download it, install it and then run it every time you want to run the game.

The reason this happens is SWTOR Unleashed creates pointers that override the default location of your game files so they will run off of the RAM disk.
Here is where you run into the issue. If you do not run the Remove and Quit function the pointers are still there and the update attempts to update the files in RAM disk, which of course do not exist yet since they aren't built until you actually start the game.
Running the game with the SWTOR Retail button bypasses the setting up of the RAM disk pointers. It is actually just a shortcut to the normal SWTOR Launcher.
I made a post on this after the last patch, asked for a sticky since it seems to be an issue after EVERY patch, and yet here we are again.

MAYBE I CAN GET A STICKY THIS TIME?

You would be wrong, because I don't use that ... but thank you for playing ... next .....

After totally uninstalling the game, and completely reinstalling the game (nice waste of 6 hours ... again), I am in the game.
Level 50 Sorcerer (DPS - Now mostly retired - crafting only, thank you BioWare)
Level 50 Juggernaut (Tank) - Level 50 Mercenary (DPS)
Level 50 Sniper (Crafting Character - wanted the buff)
