Bioware, you're pissing off a large number of your female fans with this blatant sexism. If you're going to keep rolling out half-naked female-only outfits, please start adding an equivalent number of scantily clad male outfits. Where are the slave boy outfits? The exotic dancer skivvies? The Silken Boxer Loungewear?

If you don't think they won't be purchased...well, you're wrong.

Technically there are only like 2 female outfits the rest are just recolors of the same thing. Besides male toons can use the covert energy armor and go shirtless if you want.
The Harbinger

Yes, male toons can use the Covert Energy Armor and go shirtless (and I know a lot of female players who use them), but hey, female toons can use it too.

What I'm referring to are specifically are entire outfits dedicated ONLY for female toons to be barely dressed. Fine, there are two outfits and the rest are recolors. It still counts as five different game objects and looks that they've spent some amount of time on.

Why are they gender restricted? If we want to put our male toons into barely there bottoms, too, why can't we? How does 'shirtless' compare to this? It doesn't in a lot of female players' minds.

Personally, I dislike the idea of having toons run around looking like sexy underwear models (especially on Hoth), but if they're going to put it in the game--at least be fair about it.

Agreed. I wouldn't put any of my companions in these (or a male equivalent), let alone one of my bad-*** heroes, but the fact that these things clutter up my cartel packs to the degree they do and are being thrown at us to the degree they are is irking me. And it's not exactly unnoticeable that all this skankwear is female only. Neither is it unnoticeable that there's no female equivalent of the male body type 2--fit, lean and muscular (and without weak-looking, twig-like necks and arms). We get the message, but are you sure it's the message you want to send?

3.
Imperial Dancer
Republic Dancer = Nar Shaddaa Slave Girl outfit
Elegant Lounge = Stylish Dancer = the new red thing with the long name

I'm actually still hoping for a cartel version of the Imperial Dancer outfit, I was hoping we'd get that this time in some kind of emerald or azure scheme. Maybe next time, in Emerald AND Azure?

Oh, and I haven't seen a single weapon from the packs so far either. Not myself, not from other players. We have asked around specifically whether anyone found one though, but none so far.

Oh, and there is both a male exclusive and a female exclusive outfit available on your capital planet, from the specialty vendor in the cantina. They're not meant to be sexy though. Actually reminds me more as bridal, though to some people that is sexy too.

This is a fair point but I was able to put my Jugg in the covert shirtless with black leather pants.

He seriously looks like a Chippendale's dancer. It's awesome.

It's not just the outfits that's sexist - the /bop emote for males does a cool foot to foot shuffle.

For females? Hip-swinging pole-dance warm-up.

Oh look, Feminism demanding their distorted reality into video games under the guise of "equality" again; pretending that sexy revealing clothes is equally a thing for guys as well as girls; pretending that a bikini top and barely-there underwear on a male is mainstream common. What do you want from them? Pants that just show the top half of male genitals? Maybe unisex pants that show butt cleavage? Some sort of BDSM chest piece for males? Sexualized t-shirts with intricate holes and designs cut out for male nips to peek through?

If you're going to have an effective discussion, drop the emotion-based Feminism and Politically Correctism and speak from reality. Stop pretending scantily clad male clothes are the accepted norm and therefore must be in-game. A mainstream video game is not the place to explore your fringe ideas.

Hawt pants worked really well in SWG for every group; women, gays, and men. Hawt pants were basically unisex speedos. They also had invisible armor, for gloves, boots, etc. SWTOR took a step in the direction of sexualizing men with the covert chest piece and I applaud them for it. I'll never use it but I'm glad the option is there for any players that want it. Conan straps across bare chest would also be suitable, but obviously it would be male-only (gasp! I'm such a chauvinistic pig!) and kinda hard to fit into the Sci Fi theme. But hey...if the barbaric Tusken design can fit into this world I'm sure Conan straps would be nothing. Come up with constructive ideas instead of just waving your unfairness flag and declaring unfairness.

TLDR; I completely agree with you that there should be more options for males, but stop being ridiculous and asking for male lingerie.

Personally, I wish female armor wasn't so sexualized in a lot of games. First off, we'd have less agenda-based posts like the above. Second, in most cases it just doesn't make sense for med/heavy armor to have exposed vital areas.

Why is fem body-type 4 not similar to male body-type 4?

Oh, I like the Despot's set. I'm having the cartel purchase error again so I will hopefully be able to pick one up on GTN.

Anyone know why I got 1050 cartel points as a "Customer Service Grant"?
