I spent a bit over 110 euro on packs to get the perceptor's armor (spelling) and to find its appearance that appauling was a catastrophy - to be fair I was also out for the hover chair mount. Needless to say I was pretty unlucky buying that many packs getting nothing.

There's more players who were disappointed, who paid real money, that there are those who aren't. However, it doesn't matter, I'm sorry you feel that way. Truly. I'm convinced a ticket would restore your cartel points though - so the question is. Whine about it (which you have yet to do, don't take this as an insult) or try to solve the situation?

You see. Their only responsibility is to their actual customers that paid actual money that bought it because of their actual advertising. Feel free to vote with your wallet, absolutely! But do not kid yourself, nor anyone else, you are at fault.
Too bad the comparison you just drawn is totally irrelevant to the actual situation.

And too bad Bioware just admitted it was a mistake in another thread.

GG to you too.

Its exactly the same. But its appearent you lack the ability to comprehend and understand the similarity in the situations.

Proven by the, oh so clever, "gg you too" remark. Cheers!

I don't care if the picture in the advertisement showed them different and they said they were gonna change it: 99% of people didn't know.

Really Bioware, how does this escape you? How could you even consider this, let alone implement it? Changing gear this way is gonna upset way more people than it makes happy, especially considering that the Phantom, Spymaster and Trailblazer sets where unique and covered a gap in style that no other gear currently in game can.

And to add insult to injury, they were cartel market items, meaning many people paid real money for them. And now they are suck with having paid for something they don't like anymore.

Seriously Bioware, it's absurd decisions like that that gives us real insight as to where the game is headed to. When you make obviously stupid decisions like this, that how both utter disregard for your paying customers and total lack of basic common sense, it leaves little to no hope for the future of this game. I mean, if they screw up on something so simple and obvious, what's the chance they get the difficult stuff right?

As for me, I'm never buying anything from the Cartel MArket again, unless you admit that what happened today was a gross oversight, give people who are affected free gear that looks like the old before changes (while letting us keep the changed look, since there's probably a tiny minority who likes it better now), and promise to never do this again.

/endrant.
They don't care about the game or the customers any longer, just about maximizing profit over the short term. Its the only explanation, when applied across the board, that makes sense.
May the Schwartz be with you....

Ok, I'll explain why it's irrelevant.

It should be obvious to people with average intellect, but maybe you need some help.

A more apt comparison would have been:

"Hey, I bought this cellphone from you and now I can't use it anymore! Why?"

"Sorry, but did you notice the model you received was different from the one on the box? We'll give you a new one that matches the picture and take away the one you already have."

"Eh, no, I like this one better, please, let me keep this one"

"Nope, we're not giving you a choice. We'll take it away and give you the correct one, whether you like it or not."

"DAFAQ?"

Except many people DID spend real money on cartel packs to obtain this armor, and they did so before Bioware said anything about changing it. MANY of them. I did it when the packs were first released. I never saw anyone say they were changing it, and when I was finally linked the post where it was mentioned(today) I can see the it was said AFTER I had already obtained the items through cartel packs with real money anyway. So I got screwed out of something I bought no matter how you want to spin it.

There is no development team any longer. Finance and marketing are running the game, and dictating to the designers. They are no longer focused on making this a great game, maintaining a sub base, but marketing to maximize profit with the least investment possible. That is why we see "re-skinning" rather then development. That is why we see focus on the cartel market while other aspects of the game are in dire need, while space missions are broken, Ops still bugged, etc.

When applied across the board, once again, it is the only explanation that makes sense.
May the Schwartz be with you....

Your entire example falls at the point where you simply can not grasp that the people you're talking about are not the customers in this scenario. They're second hand buyers and as such they have no right to demand anything from said company.

Yes but in that direct comparison more players spent real money to get what was advertised and did not get what they paid for. As suggested in a previous post of mine, create a ticket for cartel points being restored and come back to this thread when you got a final answer saying no. Otherwise there is no valid argument here - at all.
