I've been looking into getting a Mac and a friend of mine has one, but I don't know if SWTOR had a Mac Iso file and wondering if i can get one somewhere or when Bioware will post a Mac Iso file for SWTOR

I have a friend I know with a mac had to install bootcamp and run swtor on a windows petition as she just started playing recently with her mac, I have not heard of plans for a MAC client anytime soon. Not to say there never will be one ...

If there is an over-riding reason to get a Mac, then SWTOR will play in Bootcamp, but not very well - the drivers Apple supplies are pretty *****.

I really don't see BW spending resources on porting to Mac when they can't even get the Windows version working properly

As previously stated, you certainly can play on Mac hardware, but you'll still need to install Windows to run the game. If you want a Mac for everyday or work use, go for it, but be aware that it does make gaming a bit more effort. You'll have to restart your machine into Windows every time you want to log on (makes logging for crafting a BIG chore). You'll also probably spend more time troubleshooting when something goes wrong (updating graphics drivers took me 5 hours).

I wouldn't give up my Mac for anything (plus I need it for work) and can't afford a second gaming PC. The game can certainly run well on Mac hardware. I play on a 2011 Macbook Pro (top end 15") and get decent FPS (60) at high graphics settings. You just want to make sure you get the top end model with the best graphics card available (or a Mac pro so you can change out the card yourself).
