Bioware, if you hired or had hired this guy and actually put him in a position to implement things, the majority of your original staff would still be employed, I'll bet you never learn and will never change, but if you do, believe me, these suggestions are reasonable, seem fairly easy to implement and would ALL be wildly popular, spare us the stupid recolored armor and tedious useless new planets and just improve upon what we already have..
The Chaoticas Legacy -The Shadowlands Server - (40k kills)
(Havaos Jug 50) (Devaos Sorc 50) (Vorhen BH 50) (Venaos Sin 50) (Xaos BH 50) (Zorgen Jug 50) (Zataos Mara 50) (Gwaraos BH 50) (Xenaos Mara 42) (Tavaos Sin 50) (Jenaos Snip 41) (Scaraos Op 27) (Ravaos Jug 31) (Xinaos Sorc 32) (Dreadaos - Jug 22)

...just want to ad that the Bounty system would be awesome, and the solution for the cry babies would be that you have to "opt" into the system and get a proper reward for doing so.

Except it would be one-sided as the Bounty Hunters aren't able to attack other Sith Imperial Players outside of Huttball and the Outlaw Den.

My thought on Contested Area would be Contested between the Republic and the Empire, not Empire & Empire, so even then, Bounty Hunters still wouldn't be able to take or hunt Bounties on Imperial Players. Even if there were more Areas like the Outlaw Den, Bounty Hunters still wouldn't be able to take/hunt Bounties on Imperial Players outside of those areas.

And even considering bounties across factions, given the time people spend on the fleet how could this system possibly work?

Agreed, which is why a Bounty System wouldn't work. And while some might say just allow the Troopers to hunt Imperial Bounties won't work because the Troopers are not Bounty Hunters as they are part of the Republic's most elite squad, so in my opinion, it would be somewhat beneath them. Even if they were allowed to, it would end up having to be called something different cause when I see the word Bounty (in this context) I think of Bounty Hunters not Troopers.

You guys are thinking within the constraints that the current iteration of the game imposes. The OP's suggestions propose something new: if one was to be flagged by a Bounty Hunter then said person would be grounded to his current location and have a set time limit to escape the BH. I don't need to recap everything he said, it's all there for you to read.
