EU is considered fact and a perfectly legitimate viewpoint. It's cannon, so it's verified.

Here are the different forms of canon for the SW Extended Universe.

I doubt that is going to change due to Disney anytime soon, so I consider the EU cannon.
So basically gay romances are low totem pole canon trumped by movie canon in which there is no homosexuality.

With the issues of the game, I'm surprised people are so upset they don't get the kiss or run off the screen scene. It's laughable how Bioware handled the romance in this game anyhow. They should be lucky not to get the poorly done half-baked (wanted to use another word) way it was handled.

Oh and links or it didn't happen?

This is a link to an early video talking about SGRs coming in ToR.

Here is the transcripts the PAX Q&As on Darth Hater with a mention about SGRs coming in The Old Republic:
Day One Day Two

This is an interesting one because it sort of lit up, and we didn't honestly -- if we should give an update on it every single time -- We've always said the same thing with it, which is that it's coming, and it's coming with story updates. And we totally understand when people hear "soon", um, maybe I should have put the TM next to it that, "writer Soon"? The writers have a much, much larger lead time than you would expect, and we wanna do any of this stuff right. We heard suggestions, and we do read the stuff, and let's talk a little about the stuff we were not willing to do. We were not willing to go in and just change all the dialogue to work for the other gender. That is not writing. That is not good storytelling.
Here's a link to the Daniel Erickson comments from the Guild Summit. I'll post the video.

Finally, from the Beta forums:

The following statements were made in September 2011 by Stephen Reid, former Senior Online Community Manager for SWTOR.

The vast majority of our content will be of interest to the vast majority of our potential audience.
However, one of the amazing things about MMOs is that over time we can get to add things that are exciting and interesting to smaller audiences. Normally, that's not something that's addressed too far ahead of time. In this case, we felt the addition was warranted and should be addressed early. There will be plenty of content for all to play and enjoy.

We fully intend to do justice to the story in our storylines. As you may have heard, we take story very seriously - this included.
Feel free to google the Stephen Reid quotes. Many news sites covered it.

And with that, unless there is any obvious questions, I'm out.

Do either of these still work for bioware? And can you bring posts and references from more recent? I think its obvious Bioware has changed their minds.

And bringing up EU isnt bringing up Facts. Fact.
I'm not saying sgr is in all games, I'm saying bioware are known for including them in their games, have done, and have said they will in this game. Yes, things change, but they haven't said they aren't anymore. Until they say yes or no, people will still ask. If you've got a problem with people asking for updates, then sorry, but that's your problem.

Stephen Reid was released from his employment with Bioware shortly after launch...and at E3 we were shown a video that claimed Makeb would be "THIS YEAR"...now it's suddenly "Spring 2013". Also, reading your quotes, they claimed it would be added when they continued the story...have we actually updated ANY of the stories since launch?? No. So relax...your SGR's aren't shelved yet.

Doesn't matter if they work for bioware now, or not. When a representative of a company speaks about what that company is going to do, they speak on behalf of the company. I thought everyone knew that.

While generally true, this most definitely doesn't seem to be the case with Bioware.

And everyone should know a change in leadership brings about change in directions.
