My top of the list species are:

- Gamorreans (Hell yes!)

- Rodian
- Wookie
Personally I want to play a Voss.

Well, the chances of getting Voss as playable species is rather good, as they fit the criteria different colored human pretty well

Ehhh. Meh. Vast majority of everything your character will ever say is not dialogue as much as various more or less pasive, more or less generic reactions and responses to the actual dialogue. Does it really matter much if your char goes Ggrrhhhghhjjjhh!111!1 or " there won't be heart left beating" for 30th time.

Having said that, wouldn't it be pretty fun to play a Wookie who always has his very own Han Solo equivalent attachment explaining what ever the hell you mean when you growl to people?;p It could bring some welcome dynamics to the talking head parade.

Player character: " GrhhhzzgghhhhRAAAAggAAAGGgrrzggagaga!!!1"
Ham Solo: "My pal here says that there won't be heart left beating!"
Quest giver: "Splendid! I shall look forward to having those droid arses in no time then."

Having said that, I find it incredibly unlikely they will ever again hire a VA/writing team to cover entire 1-50 content and some CLass story to boot. Just idle speculation for them lulz here.

I think the sheer fact that as part of our story lines we interact ALOT with multiple races Twi'lek and Wookiee and Trandoshian as well as a plethora of various aliens, that do NOT speak common. And yet THAT is acceptable as part of a Good storyline.... I think its an excuse. And the fact that MANY players would simply enjoy listening to Wookiees WoooWWowwuur there way to becoming a Jedi Master or Sith Lord Should negate the EXCUSE. WE as players would ENJOY playing Wookiees. Period. Just looking around at all the people BEGGING for Playable Wookiees. I don't understand what harm it would do. I mean the Jedi and Sith have already been bastardized as a Vanilla Class... The arguments against it seem alot more like thin excuses than ever.

Yep - don't really see what the issue is. Wookies with force-sensitivity as problem? Didn't my jc just get a Flesh Raider into the academy? Language barriers? That same jc seems to be able to chat quite easily with his reptilian companion. Wookies are cool. Wookies are the coolest thing in Star Wars, and as a playable race they're infinitely more attractive than dudes who look like Nightcrawler or those chaps with the blindfolds. Playable Wookies please.

In short, most humanoid species can speak basic. That's why we'll continue to see them and not more exotic races.
