You can count on that!

People already decided what it should be, and won't let it stand on its own. It's not like this, not like that, so I don't like it.
That's why they call it space, cause there is so much of it.

It'd be awesome to see even a few screenies of it. I hate it how knowing nothing about it gives so much fodder for your imagination.

Edit,
post above me, quote included, nails it 1:1.
Depending on their age and personal experiences, people imagine either the PC classic Tie Fighter, Roque Squadron, SWG's JtL or Eve Online.

Having AWESOME SUPER SECRET SPACE OMG in development gives too much hope and fodder for imagination rly;p Would be nice to have something with which to calibrate them expectations.

Not a public demo, some dev or Hickman one of those guys said they were playing it, so who really knows, if they were or just blowing smoke up our butts... I expect it to be one of the dlc's in the store next year.. /sigh
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering

Logically, it would come out with the expansion. Seeing as how expansions are used to implement major game changes.

This space Demo from a now defunct game studio using the same engine as TOR had space working. sadly they lost funding but this is what they did with 4 man team and it took about 1 month to get space working.

When you watch that you wonder how much BW messed with hero engine. I watched alot of stuff from hero, and It all looked like it was really good.

Don't know if BW messed it up alot or if it just was'nt something that should have been messed around with.

IF ( and this is such a big IF at this point) Eaware did something like that ( off rails ) I would actually pay a full expac price for it. ( well maybe I would, depends on if the let me use my flight stick with it)
I have been called a hater for voicing my opinion. So be it. But I would rather die on my feet, then live on my knees.

They tore apart and completely replaced the original renderer code with their own. a common practice. the guys making TESO have done the same to avoid back lash about using hero engine which the fans went nuts about once they heard "Hero Engine" was the engine they had chosen to develop on. They still are using it but they replaced and rebuilt many systems and are calling it a in-house engine now

I was kinda thinking that is what they did, but did not want to say it..... I know how some people in the forums get when you have no proof of things. I wish I could have seen what it would have been like if they had left the code the way it was. And just worked with that.
