Its pointless to us that as a selling point. When other MMO's release an expansion its at least ten levels. This it sad, to say the least. Many players will hit the level cap on other planets before they even touch Makeb. Also the fact that Makeb isn't having any Class missions just side quests. Kinda erks me as well. Its like they just wanted to get this announced and out before the end of the year.
Also another thing that kinda worries me is that there hasn't been a single Dev that has posted on the forums in a while... Yeah I understand they get a holiday break, but come one its a game people even some of the devs play it... Or was that just City?
To conclude my personal opinion. Getting five more levels along with a planet with only side quest missions. Isn't worth ten bucks. Oh and just to let those of you know. All of this along with the Cathar were supposed to be released before the end of the year. So we all have to wait another 3-5 months. For this to even come out.
Come again? 10 levels? Even WoW's latest expansions only had 5 level increases. What's so wrong with that? And you don't even have class quests there anymore. I think your building a storm in a glass of water.
Also, the devs might not feel the need to jump into the forums so often once they reply to questions on a regular basis via the community team? I saw a lot of posts from Amber or Courtney stating "I asked <insert dev name here> about <insert subject here> and he told bla bla bla".
A lot of planned stuff have been delayed because of the F2P conversion and that sucks but it's what we have.

Basically you are saying Blizzard is getting lazy too. I am not getting Pandas but previous expansions had raises of 10.

Cataclysm had only 5 levels too. I didn't get the pandas as well but I'm sure it's only 5 levels increase. If Blizzard is getting lazy... well on Cataclysm I can't say that. They revamped the whole game. For end gamers it might have seemed not much but as whole the thing was big.
Back to SWTOR, as I said, the F2P conversion delayd a lot of things, Makeb included. Just looking at the F2P conversion and cartel market, I can't say it was laziness. Sometimes it would be so great if people understood what it takes to make software.
Cheers!

Which is odd to put the 7th when they say release is next Spring but preorder deadline is just 3 weeks into Winter? They seem to be nervous about something.
O okay , by the full on complaints about it being a paid for expansion etc Indeed they might be a little nervous. i mean it's only 5 days of early access so I don't see the big deal and they should announce a bit more information about it before the 7th Jan surely ? Would make sense for them to do so.

Cheers,

Normally I would say that when a gaming announces company an expansion, They release a video or something to give a gleam of whats inside. But with EA/BioWare you are being ask to fork out $9.99 on their word it contains more. But I am labeled a Hater when I point out that when they previously gave their word...Makeb was large content upgrade, But know Rise of the Hutt Cartel is an expansion.

Cataclysm had 5. Look the amount of levels do not matter, but the time it takes to level up. You could have a raise of only 1 level but it would take the same amount of time to grind it than it would 50 in another game.

And dont delude yourself, this thing costs the same as mop, its not an expansion because its expansion worthy, its an expansion because in the words of hickman, this is alot of work for a patch.

Excuse me for putting my name at the bottom of my posts, most people when they write letters, emails, or other things tend to sign their names. So sorry that a habit I developed from school, a habit I developed over several years, makes me, to you, seem high and mighty.

As for the "expansion", they stated that the things already showing up in said expansion were to be free to subscribers, this was stated at E3 of all places. That is why some of us have issues with it. Do I expect to see EVERYTHING come out as one patch? No, that would be insane to expect that.

~Incendi (the apparently high and mighty)

PS, you know, I like that title....hmm....Incendi the High and Mighty....has a nice ring to it.

Can I say it's the "Oh **** we're broke! We need money!" instead of laziness?

And I agree, it takes a LOT to make software, heck, even the MUDs I used to run (and still run/build/write/design) took a lot of work. For some of us it feels like they're ignoring glitches and bugs to try to bring out more and more stuff. I know they can't please everyone, but some of the bugs have been around for a long time.

Perhaps we should all bake the devs some cookies and send them off....think that will make them friendlier? It worked for my mailperson.

The devs wont even say a thing about the fact that less than a month ago on the live stream and the first live stream along with E3 of all places. These things were announced. We were all told that these things would be free. The fact that it seems that there is some arguing amongst the players makes me wonder about this community sometimes. Yes most of us have good intentions, but there are those of us who would rather troll than actually add to the conversation.
The fact still remains that the Devs themselves haven't said a thing to answer any of my (or anyone's) questions. I am tired of not being heard or having anything of relevance said by the devs.
