If this was BoL, the value would be okay. Since it is not, I don't think it's worth half the price. Like pretty much all the armor. BoL would make it worth it.

I believe the price reflects the extra piece in the set, while it dosen't have a head piece (-1), it does have the belt and wrist piece (+2), which the other sets don't have.

So there are 6 pieces in the set where most of the other cartel sets, except the pilot sets, only have 5.

I do agree they should make all the armor on the CM bind to legacy and perhaps they will do that.

So far we've got nothing from the moddable outfits thread. I wonder what will be up on Tuesday. I really, really enjoy the Valiant chest piece. I actually bought another set, for pvp, for 1.5 million credits. Also this armor made me fond of yellow lightsaber crystal They look well together.

Just to throw this out there: after taking some time to look at the set again I've come to the conclusion that it is indeed not a new mesh as I had previously thought. It's actually a retexture of the mesh used for the consular robes. More specifically the ones you can get from The Esseless.

That said, I think the set is great and that they need to include more like it. It has a relatively simple design (no big shoulder shoulder pads like the ops stuff) and has the iconic jedi feel. And most importantly the hood is down.

You might be right!

I checked, too and in the first place it does not appear to be utilizing a retextured mesh of the consular robe. The chest plate actually has a visible "cut" as well as that robe. However the sides of the robe (in the Valiant set) doesn't appear as if they are "glued". There is actually more space between brown robe and the armor. But it's still a great-looking piece of gear. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE AND WAY TOO LATE.

BTW with this set Bioware is kinda screwing you guys over. There is no armor which fits its colour scheme and when you attempt to unify colours with Valiant chestpiece and other non-Valiant gear they will be completely messed up. Same goes for unifying other Valiant pieces. I tried unifying rest of the valiant set with battlelord's chestguard and instead of green... Other pieces turned ORANGE!

Way to go. Bioware wants you to equip the whole set and make it pointless to get yourself chestpiece only on gtn.

Can't wait for the good down version of the plain brown Jedi robe.

And it's more than a bit sad that stuff like this (the basic look of Jedi) isn't in the game a year after it went live !
