Remember magenta crystal creating process? Or one of the first pets (forgot the name) appearance? Well, you can forget about anything like that happening in the future. Both pets and unique color crystals are a cash shop property from now on.
This, this and this. And more this.

Giving away an item "for free" for doing something fun and engaging loses them money on two fronts: 1) the item could be sold and 2) creating in-game actions/quests means work that needs to be paid for.

I wonder when they realize that players with lots of items and little "fun and engaging" to do will eventually quit, because they want a game, not a digital warehouse.

I came here from STO so it's not that bad. Nothing gamebreaking in cartel shop, vanity items and stuff - I'm ok with them. Sadly there is no SI equipment pack with pants instead of skirt (and without capes, cloaks flapping in vacuum etc) I could buy for my SI.

Imagine a shop where you get gear for lvl 50 with stats about 25-50% better then what you can get in game. And some additional properties like third hand with thrid lightsaber, additional autofiring super-weapon of doom, rewind time feature or impenetrable shield/armor.

Yeah, that's current reality of F2P STO. So TOR Cartel Shop is pretty much cool feature with some vanity items and nothing more. But then it's just the beginning of F2P for TOR and anything can happen in the future.

I bought 3 packs (1080 CC) and got my Tythonian-Force Master Lightsaber. Then I used the rest for Legacy unlocks. I figure legacy unlocks are the way to go, let's all avoid the annoying credits sinks. As for actually buying gear from the shop... NO.

Yeah it's awesome. I love being able to buy a holo of a xmas tree for 5 dollah.lol. What could be greater? It also brings me comfort to know I have the ability to give international mega corporation free money. I'm very curious to see which armor model they will recolor next. Who knows, maybe we even get another robe with hood down

No!!!!! I hate the Cartel shop!!!! There is just to much stuff that I had to buy!! And I am a subscriber!!! The wife and I spend $40 dollars each for more coins to buy more stuff!!! This is unreal!!! How dare they make a store with crap I would actually want to buy!!!

The mounts... The pets... The outfits.. The toys.... Where does it end!!!

Yes.. I love the Cartel Shop.. Although I am not spending another $80 dollars this month for coins..

Hi,

Well Cartel market is a great invention to TOR world, it's really fits and I thing this gives player more immersion in aspect of enjoying social content, especially campaign players.

Thank you,
Best regards!

Why, hello there Jeff Hickman. Despite apparently never going to properly implement sitting, why don't you take a seat right over here? Let's talk.
