No doubt, Makeb will be hours of content to get us to 55, and just like any expansion, the new planet (zone) will be much bigger than the OG zones we started with (ie Tatooine).

With any luck Makeb will be like Trials of Atlantis expansion for Dark Age of Camelot, then the community will really have something to complain about MWUAHAHA

I'm very excited and spring 2013 will give them plenty of time to add loads of content to the expansion.

I hope to Thor that Makeb is a step up over vanilla world/quest design.

I need it to be a sign that there is still ambition and will to deepen the game in the dev team.

Looking at what other MMOs are doing with their expansions and quest designs, if Makeb is one more reskin of 1-50 quest mechanics I'll be supremely bummed.

It's to late to beg the developers to be more ambitious with their phasing technology - making it affect the open world - and go take a look at more complex PVE designs and the interweaving of pve/pvp that would work wonders on this contested planet (they actually got that right once with the raghk plague). We can only hope against hope that it shows SOME sort of improvement over existing content.

Just going by the threads and responses I've seen, I can't help but wonder if referring to this as an expansion is a big big mistake. While what can only be described as sane/logical people are quick to point out the price, many people here are seemingly expecting big big BIG things from this expansion and a lot are even going as far as comparing it to a WoW expansion in terms of expectations. While I think most of us are realistic enough to realize it isn't on that level, I can still see this forum being in an uproar with people feeling underwhelmed by it all.

PS: Expansion, or DLC, please please please include dual spec.

It would depend on your opinion on expansions.

I played SWG and I have seen an expansion just add one planet and no levels (Mustafar) and cost more than what they are charging.

So again depends on your opinion .

Yeah but didn't that expansion came out either before or around the same time as the NGE? Mentioning levels on SWG seems almost pointless. That was also a long time ago and JTL sure did bring an awful lot to the game. Going by today's expansion standards though, I really think a lot of people on here are expecting too much.

Don't get your expectations up.

Look at the "list" of what's included in the advert for the early buy-in.

That's it, nothing else, only that.

10 years ago 1 new leveling zone being called an "expansion" which you had to pay for would have been an outrage. These days, with people buying the same ****** game every 6 months for $60 (CoD), which doesn't even support modding or dedicated servers. It's called value for money :/
