They should add yellow ribbons on the back of speeders for veterans.

Er.... ok, you've just prove my Law by the way.

So $18.00 for a terrible mount that should have been free in an event and no event is just peachy for you. Fair enough, it's not for everyone.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

It's a real shame that CoH is no more.
I was a subscriber of that game since beta. The only thing they ever charged subscribers extra for was an exansion that nearly doubled the size of the game. At the end, I had a list of FREE subscriber perks on every character that was so long it literally took minutes to scroll through the list.

If you wanted to see an example of how to treat your customers like gold, that was it.
It was also a "light" MMO, and there's no chance in hell that TOR will ever survive as long as CoH did.

Instead, Bioware is making us pay for items to create "our own" Life Day event.... Oh wait, they did give us a stack of FIREWORKS!!!! YAY!!

I have been a CE owner since July 2011 and a paying subscriber since the game's first day of Early Access. The only thing I feel like I'm getting is continuously screwed. The sad part is that I honestly love the game, so I don't want to quit just because the Developers could give a rats *** about a loyal subscribers like myself.

Now, I'm not usually one to complain about not receiving something just because I'm helping pay the company bills, but I really do think it's about time that Bioware shows its appreciation for the subscribers and previous subscribers. Players should be able to openly display how long they have been supporting this game... and yes, I do mean brag. Obviously, the awards should be tiered with awards for: 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 8 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, etc.
LMAO. Really? You know you got a bunch of FREE cartel coins for every one of those months you have been subscribed...

And wait... I thought the CE version of the game was this BIG BOX FULL OF STAR WARS stuff? books, dolls, maps....etc... I thought THAT was the extra stuff you got for buying CE???

I don't know what to tell you pal. Must be pretty miserable standing around with your hands extended always wanting someone to put something in them.,

rockiest starts in the past ten years?

Warhammer Online
Tabula Rasa
Vanguard Online
Age of Conan
DCUO
DDO
World of WARCRAFT

all games that have had far worse launches in the past 10 years.

Please get your facts straight.

You can also add STO and GW2 to that line-up as well. In fact GW2's launch was so bad that most of Europe couldn't play the entire first weekend, it ended up knocking GW1 offline for hours, and they had to stop selling digital copies of the game.

SWG had some awesome Veteran's Rewards. It was a fun way of rewarding those who played and it gave us something fun to play with.

http://www.swgemu.com/archive/scrapb...0071216102256/

They would have rewards in 3 month increments - 3 month up to 54 month reward - and some awesome things like
Miniture Boba Fett Replica, Miniature AT-AT Replica, Jawa Hologram or the Emperor's Chair.

I remembered spending countless hours just putting things in my houses and arranging them to how I wanted. It was fun and "rewarding" and it made the base feel good.

I feel though the days of full service like at Neiman Marcus and Ethan Allen are over and replaced with Walmart and Ikea.

There is no incentive for them to reward Veterans as they have a player model that is for temporary people that will come and go. We are no longer important.

I like this post. It makes me happy and warm inside.

I will also point out that Swtor was one of the smoothest launches of all time. I find most players haven't even played the games which had the worst launch and formulate opinion from whiners on forums which do not reflect reality in game most of the time. The only issue was queueing which only affected those on high pop servers which was restricted to a very few for the most part.

"One of the rockiest starts", OP said, so we'll have to look elsewhere in their post for stupidity.

But speaking of cake-taking measuring contests, I tried the FFXIV open beta. Nothing tops an official company apology for a game's very existence.

You said it yourself, the game is offline now. That means there business model failed to make the money needed to keep it going.
