So much for not charging subs for Makeb

Did you miss the moderator comparing it to FREE content from other games? Do you think he just arbitrarily chose to compare it to free content for funzies?

Also, subs were promised any content updates that were not expansions would be free and this is clearly stating that Makeb is a non-expansion. A meets B and says Makeb is not an expansion and therefore would be free to subs.

Wrong, they never said the extra levels would be free. Only Makeb. You can get upset about Makeb no longer being free content, but they're throwing it in with the expansion pack. Yeah, it's sort of weak because something promised free is now part of the expansion, I get that, but seriously, you're getting so upset. And you're missing the point. You're saying, "BW is a bunch of liars." But that was already a given that they've lied and/or misled us (believe me, I know they've lied to us too... anyone remember the "Dps upgrade" they said Anni Marauders were getting with skill changes?) before. But you can't say that anything you've done, thus far, in terms of money put into this game, was based solely on the premise that you'd be playing on Makeb and not spending another dime, was it?

Integrity seems to be dead in the world anymore. So, I won't support it any longer. It was stated at E3 this was to be free for subscribers, it was clearly stated by James Ohlin that this was a non-expansion pack (which also on its own implies free, based off of what Bioware's own description of what is free to subscribers is) and they just suckered every one of you pre-orders.

Sure, it's $10 to pre-order - for 5 days of early access. The expansion might even be more than that. They did the same exact thing at release, and there was such an uproar about it, that it rippled the game for months.

So...you're working for Bioware?
Because otherwise I don't understand how you can be so sure that they didn't add things since then (the information of which have yet to be released) and made it into a small expansion to keep the story going until they're ready to give us a full expansion.

Also the guy is asking mentioned a "semi-free" content for Eve. Not free.

I'm sure there is a disconnect of info. But the James quote is quite old (may/June) and the Jeff Hickman is from August. Sorry but the latest Hickamn quote supercedes the James quote as it was the most recent.

Huh??? I see the TORWARS guy talking about free/semi-free EVE online content, but never hear James ever say that Makeb was free, he inferred that it was non-xpac in size, at the time maybe it was and now its gotten significantly bigger, so I can see how you all misinterpret that as meaning that it should be free, I see it as the size and the planet he refers to...."It's a whole planet!!" So maybe the planet should be free and the Lvl cap isn't? or maybe were being charged for all the non-makeb content??? Who knows you will infer what you will. You hear what you hear and I hear what I hear.

I already made my choice back when this game went F2P, and a lot of people made that same choice. If they ever ask for extra money on top of my sub for content, in clear violation of their previously marketed claims, then I am quitting. This is NOT an expansion. This is barely the size of 1.2 and 1.3. It is not worth ANY amount of money.

If they want to charge me 30-40 for an actual expac, new class, new race, new ops, new multiple fps, new zones, new story new level cap, new abilities, new tiers, new mounts, new pets new systems and ui and class changes and rebalance good. I'll pay that, but I'm not going to pay 1/3 the price for 1/20th the content, not on top of my sub. nope. no way, no how. I am not preordering this and I don't see how anyone else can justify preordering this. If they make massive changes to HOW much content, if they quadruple what they are offering, if they reduce the price to $1 or include 30 days of game time with purchase at the same price point, then I might reconsider.

Don't bother man. When people are backed into a corner and proven wrong, they cling to technicalities in a desperate attempt to... I don't know, not be wrong on an internet forum or something. You will never convince him.

Did Ohlen say "Makeb is free"? No he didn't. Did he confirm how huge it was when the moderator compared it to free content patches and therefor fully implicate that it was free? Of course he did, it is obvious to anyone who isn't being a ridiculously stubborn internet person.

Also in that interview they hadn't gone free to play yet, they actually announce the free 1-15 trial coming out soon.
