Alot of People trying to praise BioWare/EA that the Content is only 10$ (8€) for Subscribers and twice that for Non-Subscribers but if you ask me guys this stuff should be free for Subscribers specially People like myself that Subscribed and stayed Subscribed since day 1, adding a New Planet etc... is nice and all and i can maybe understand them wanting for charge for that but charging for the Level Cap increase which really doesen't take any work what so ever is abit rediculous, anyone that has some Modding Experience or C++ Experience like myself can tell you thats like 15-30mins work tops. Also, the new Race better not be only obtainable through this Expansion. Sorry BioWare/EA but you guys better work on alot more Free Non-Cartel Market Items before deciding to release Expansion Packs not to mention there's still alot of bugs with the current Items and Game.

Also, before People start calling me Cheap. I'm not being Cheap, i've purchased the Collectors Edition of SWTOR and Pre-ordered the Game including having stayed a Subscriber since Day 1 and i've even purchased this Cheap Expansion Pack. I'm just being realistic here and just think that BioWare is really just screwing us Subscribers by really only adding alot of new Ingame Items through the Cartel Market and now with this Expansion Pack.
I Am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.

Besides look at the price, if Bioware has anything else in it then it would only be something like a new Warzone.

Bioware isn't Blizzard or SOE, they haven't got the benefit of the doubt.
Exactly, if they had more stuff they would put them on the advertising list for sure.

Its unreal how naive ppl can be after 1 year of deception. Some even posted with full pride "I have preordered" lmfao, well enjoy your DLC you serious gamers.

Waiting for more information personally. So far, it looks like a pile of crap and thus I'll be quitting. However, it's 3 months away so I'll give it time for more information to come out. I'm specifically looking for the following:
  • Open World PvP
  • More Warzones
  • New Classes
  • New "Systems"
  • New Design Philosophies

Whilst the existing content in the game is good, the "systems" and philosophies surrounding them are terrible and make me wanna quit. Tiered loot, massive grinds for some things but trivial grinds for others, no world pvp, limited warzones, too simplistic combat, bland classes.....I guess this game is too "dumb" for me.

In LOTRO, every expansion gave something truely unique and so far this TOR expansion isnt.

Mines of Moria gave us:
  1. 10 New Levels
  2. Massive new leveling area
  3. 2 new classes
  4. New mechanics for itemisation (percentages moved to ratings)

Siege of Mirkwood gave us:
  1. 5 New levels
  2. Smallish leveling area
  3. Skirmishes

Rise of Isenguard gave us:
  1. 10 new levels
  2. Massive leveling area
  3. New combat stats/mechanics (finesse)

Riders of Rohan gave us:
  1. 10 new levels
  2. Absolutely huge leveling area
  3. Mounted Combat

This is on top of the usual storylines, questing, world areas, instances, raids etc. Every single expansion had something new to learn, be it revamped combat mechanics (finesse, radience, ratings etc) or new systems (skirmishes, mounted combat). This made it fun and exciting and breathed new life in to the game with every expansion.

Thats what I'm waiting for with this first TOR expansion: something to inspire my imagination and breath new life in to the game. More-of-the-same ain't gonna cut it.

Currently retired due to poor design decisions within the game that have killed its longevity. Get rid of Hickman before he ruins the game completely!

How come an expansion of the game including new abilities, a new planet, new story lines, and a level cap increase costs half of what an ugly Christmas speeder does?

I don't wake each morning hoping that this game will change the world, but I do wake up watching to see if something new will be added for me to do since this is my hobby. i think the price is fair. we have known about this for some time and even what the name of the expansion would be.

I can almost bet we will be getting more details soon. People tend to jump the jack allot around here. why not wait for more details before you start cutting yourself. I'm willing to pay for it and I can't wait to see what all the new stuff they're adding in this expansion.

I think Bio-ware needs to be more descriptive and be more exited about this expansion publicly regardless of the negative Nellies who lurk here.

I'm pretty stoked for this!

Joke's on EA. I pre-ordered it whilst being a sub but I am probably letting my sub lapse the next time around. Gonna play for $10 as a F2P. Boned.

How much did these expansions cost?

Jesus, you people are nitwits. Stop comparing RoHC to a full fledged xpac. It ISN'T. It's a "Digital Expansion". Read between the lines. Its a smaller version of an xpac and priced like it. They will most likely keep pumping out smaller xpacs at smaller prices in line with how they've done quicker, but smaller content patches.

because all the fools who bought it helped pay for a cheaper costing expansion for us.

I'm not sure what the nerd rage is all about... $9.99 if you are a current sub seems reasonable. That's one Quiznos lunch, or two trips to Starbucks or one ticket to the movies... Seems more than reasonable.
