Hopefully that will still change, but if not, the expansion may still be too expensive for it's contents.
1) They haven't announced everything that's coming in the patch. Only a vague description so far.

2) Are you really surprised given their current model of releasing content in smaller, quicker chunks? At least they aren't charging you $39.99 for it. It's a fair VALUE based on all that we know, which is new story, new planet, 5 new levels, and new "systems'. I would assume a new FP or 2 and maybe an OP but I'm not certain.

So yeah.. not a strong case if that is the way the law works.
Even if they add it to the cartel market WITH pre-order access next week, there's still no legal grounds to stand on considering as to how:

Current pre-order is a credit-card payment.
Cartel order would be a cartel coin payment, how are cartel coins obtained, right by a credit card payment.

Essentially nothing changes.

However, of course a company is free to hand you out a company wide discount coupon which you may use in the purchase of this product (cartel coin stipend).

There's really no case to be made.

You'll buy coins but not an expansion or what some seem to be calling it an adventure pack.

Go figure!
Some of us have this thing called a subscription, y'see. It's like buying coins, but was supposed to go towards the continuation of the game's content. Buying stuff twice tends to annoy.
For 2000 Cartel Coins, a year-old game breaking bug may get fixed.
For $20, an epic death scene for your character is unlocked to end your overly expensive class story. Subscribers pay $10.

sorry i did not read up on my wikipedia but appreciate the reply. still you have to understand people being upset for paying for the "expansion." I just do not think it is something to be all hyped up about.

Oh god no chat bubbles

If they added new classes, species or broaders feature the expansion would have cost more along the lines of $29.99 or more like other games.

Do you agree that it would be vastly shadey for Bioware EA to knowingly not say it would be availible on the Cashshop purely to artificially increase cash sales? (irrespective of illegality)
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

What worries me is they said that they would increase the difficulty of raids and flashpoints so they didn't get left behind. So not buying the patch and continuing to raid may well be impossible.

Price in sterling is £5.99. That's about the same price as a glossy games mag. Sounds like a bagain to me for 5 extra levels, abilities, story and the rest yet to be dislcosed. Hopefully by the time it's released I'll have 8 level 50s to run through it. Very few forms of entertainment give so much bang for the buck.

Driz
Except all the lockboxes I opened over the event I used keys that dropped for free in game

And all the shiny weapon skins were available as drops from the Mad King's dungeon

And all the actual gameplay content for the events and the new zone that opened up with the November Karka event were available for free for everyone

Thought so

No you don't. Thats speculation on a small amount of released info with an announcement of more info. to come in the coming months. Might be best to stop trying to see the future to make your argument seem more solid. It's not helping.

Now, should in the future you become correct. Then by all means come back here and bring it, rub our faces in it and be glad. Until then, take what little info. you have and rejoice. Cause ATM - it's pretty limited and yet still looks good.
