5. A loss of over 1.5 million subscribers.
6. Cheap fireworks as an "appreciation" for a first year anniversary.
7. An extremely over-restrictive F2P model.
8. Crash to Desktops that they seem unable to fix.
9. A Cartel Shop Life-Day event.
10. No non Cartel Shop Event for either the first year anniversary or life-day

I could go on and on and on....

But why, EA doean't care as long as their Cartel Shop is selling items and a rapid pace.
Yet, you're still around. What a misterious fact.

This just proves what you focus on and why you cant enjoy the game. Yes there are issues, but:

1.combat-delay: vastly improved to the point its no longer a huge issue (though it still need the final push for it to go away)
2.Lag: Sorry but thats you, i got no lag.
3. Poor customer service: For the most part i agree but i hear its been getting better.
4.Developer firings: The team was terribly inneficient in their old form, wich is why developing anything took ages. They restructured the team getting rid of irrelevant positions and others left just cause of disagreement with the F2P option or in solidarity with their co-workers.
5. A keeping of 650k+ and growing.
6. Cheap fireworks: really? Who cares?
7. restrictive F2P: Its an F2P option, its not an F2P game. If you're not paying, you're not useful to anyone anyways. What is there and free is nothing else than the whole game bar ops. But if you do dailies you can buy the passes on the GTN and virtually play everything the game has to offer for free. If that isnt a good F2P, i dunno what is.
8. crash to desktop: Those are cause by hardware not beeing able to handle the game or when the servers crash due to heavy load. They will certainly be fixed. Theres engine optimisations coming as early as the illum patch.
9. life day event: Who cares? Its only some cosmetic items that serve no purpose. SWTOR is not a childs game like other fantasy MMO's, it deals with subjects like War and death. Just shoehorning something silly in there would remove credibility to the storyline.
10. Already adressed on point 9.

See for every hating you do, a good side can be seen. Its in your head. If you dont have fun its cause you dont allow yourself to. None of those issues you pointed removes this fact: This is a really good and fun game to play at its core.

Stop focusing on the negatives, you will get an ulcer.

You may now return to your regular argument schedule.

Nothing gets fixed if you focus on the positives either. You assume anyone who complains must hate this game... so why are they still here.

The fact remains that many people are more like 60% happy and 40% annoyed (I know, I'm throwing out percentages, but bear with me). That 60% is enough to keep us subbing. Afterall, we're satisfied with the game, overall, doesn't mean that 60% is "good enough" and we should wipe our hands free of the bugs and call it a day.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to defend every little problem with this game, there is nothing wrong with pointing out something's flaws, its how changes are made for the better.

See the issue about MMORPGs that makes programming much more complicated than writing for a video console is that there are different builds with different systems and specifications. Who knows why the game may have a memory leak for you or not. All I know is that I have the game literally installed in 7 different computers and every one of them performs differently and have their own bugs. The only issue I have come across with my different computers is that the computer with Window Vista suffers more bugs and has performance issues. Other than that the lowest setting I can run the game is with only 4 GB ram and a horrible laptop video card.

I am amazed at the amount of stuff they've thrown at us this past year. It really gets my brain going as to what we can expect over the next few years!

Of course I have no proof other then my own experiences (And the fact that devs have acknowledged there is something wrong and are looking for the cause). This isn't the first time we've encountered a memory leak with this game, long ago shortly after release there was a horrible memory leak on Taris, guess what, my SWTOR client is acting just like it did long ago when that problem existed. Why would I be having problems along with many others ONLY after 1.4 hit that act EXACTLY like a memory leak?

I think what many people are frustrated with is the fact that completely unrelated parts of the game get broken from small content updates or the even smaller bug fix patches. 1.6 broke TFB HM in several different ways and the update had absolutely zero to do with it, unify colors was also broken and the patch wasn't related to that either.

Apart from that, there have been numerous bugs from beta that are on the known issues list and still haven't been fixed. I love this game, but these things can be frustrating. There are too many fanboy like people calling everyone they see a hater or doom and gloomer for being frustrated with bugs.

I don't think anyone is angry about what we got this year. They are angry by what we haven't got yet. Not that I'm complaining, since I'm still subbing. But we haven't got any real Guild updates, we haven't had Ilum fixed yet, we haven't had the CE promises fulfilled, we haven't had the continued story this year as they said we would, and I'm sure the list goes on.

I think it's a good game, but there are tons of features that are expected in an MMO that are not there. But they have put out a lot of stuff I guess. I don't even raid, so it hasn't seemed like a lot to me.
