The least they could do is paint your house, wash your car, mow your grass, or do your homework for you.

I mean, I've been in since launch and I think I should at LEAST get a title... something along the lines of, "King of Australia". I like the sound of that. With all the hours I have spent playing this game from my mother's basement, filling my face full of hot pockets, mt dew, and funyums, you'd think EA/BW could give me SOMETHING to show how special I am that I started playing a video game before other people.

The nerve of this company not handing out things to make me feel special. I should sue!!!
I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts.

Instead, Bioware is making us pay for items to create "our own" Life Day event.... Oh wait, they did give us a stack of FIREWORKS!!!! YAY!!

I have been a CE owner since July 2011 and a paying subscriber since the game's first day of Early Access. The only thing I feel like I'm getting is continuously screwed. The sad part is that I honestly love the game, so I don't want to quit just because the Developers could give a rats *** about a loyal subscribers like myself.

Now, I'm not usually one to complain about not receiving something just because I'm helping pay the company bills, but I really do think it's about time that Bioware shows its appreciation for the subscribers and previous subscribers. Players should be able to openly display how long they have been supporting this game... and yes, I do mean brag. Obviously, the awards should be tiered with awards for: 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 8 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, etc.
Do you know for sure that they aren't giving people who have subscribed to the game since day one something?

If nothing is given after the first of the year, then create this post.
It's easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission

My sub costs Me 15 a month. I just bought another 10 bucks worth of coins. I'm entitled to gripe. I expect a free tree! That is all.

So I guess we can be sad together, but for different reasons.
I hope you can see though, that these "entitlement" issues do not arise out of thin air. Most of us here have played several MMOs before this one and have come to expect certain things like veteran commendations, anniversary gifts(other than just fireworks) and event fluff that is attainable through gameplay.
SWTOR doesn't exist in a bubble seperate from the reality of other MMOs and Bioware, as much as I tend to defend them on other issues must have been aware of that.

Providing (longtime)subscribers with some greater boons would've gone a long way towards reassuring them that they're still valued by Bioware especially in the light of the F2P transition and growing fear of the game turning P2W as evidenced by the latest issues of putting end game crystals and ship parts in the CM.

I have played nearly every major MMO made and I not only do not expect Veteran's rewards or fluff, I'd rather it didn't exist at all.

For my 15 USD a month I get 720 or so available hours of entertainment. I don't expect any more than that. Just because I've been around since launch doesn't make me special in any way and I don't deserve any more than I've already gotten.

Anything beyond the normal evolution of the game is a bonus that isn't necessary for my enjoyment of the game. I don't need a title saying I'm special, I don't need a companion because I've been here for 12 months and I don't need more fluff taking up Cargo Hold space.

Veterans of a game are nothing more than people getting exactly what they paid for and asking for anything beyond that IS entitlement.
"50 Grades of Shae", a heart-warming novel about a Mandalorian that delivers beat-downs and assigns grades to her victims.

So, instead, you think Bioware should keep on their current route and not give us anything more? You think that Bioware should keep on giving us Cartel Shop Events? You think that Bioware should not add more items to the CE vendor? You think that Bioware should not add new Flashpoints, Operations, or Warzones? You think that Bioware should not hire/train better CS agents? I mean, if you're happy with what you're getting, then heck, why should Bioware do anything else? Let's take this a step further: Bioware, STOP giving me Cartel Coins every month because subscribers don't deserve them.

This game is great right now, there's no need to keep making it better for players. Apparently, wanting more from a company that we are all willingly paying $15/month to is entitlement. I'm not asking them to give me end game gear, I'm not asking them to give me something to get over on other players, I'm asking them to give me something to show that I've supported their game for a varied amount of time.

Maybe you should read you're own signature, Grayseven. Stop being ignorant.

Whatever else can be said about this games start up, and plenty can, it was no where near as bad a start up as you claim. AoC for instance had a far far worse start than SWTOR.
AoC NEVER had a million subscribers. Everyone knew it would be bad. SWTOR lost over a million players in the first 6 months, 400k of that in the first 2 months.... How exactly was AoC a rockier start than SWTOR? Not to mention all of the bugs from beta that still existed in 1.2. Or bugs that existed in beta and still exist today - for instance, mobs still standing when you kill them, gaps in maps, standing on speeders, emotes that stop working after consecutive uses, ui buttons becoming unusable, schematics disappearing, multiple class mission bugs, no Quesh vendor on the Imperial Fleet.... the list goes on...

Really? Most CE's were sold out first day.

Most pre-ordered game in a long time.

Good 2 mil sub for a few months.

They made their money back for launching this game fast imo.

They also handled the launch way better then most games I've known and fixed major bugs right away.

Increased server pops to allow more players access to servers at a time.

So yeah, it launched pretty rocky right?
