I mostly agree. But, thinking of a program for "down the road," what is the cutoff date? Day One subs only, first month, and on... I've been subbed since late February and missed on the Founder title and the free month. That doesn't bother me at all. But, as time goes by, I feel more and more like I was here from the beginning (ish). This is where these things get sticky and may be best avoided altogether.

Get off your high horse man. You "think" you are special just because you spent that much? You got what exactly you paid for and the developers never said anything about you being special. So I don't see what the big deal really is all about. Now the question here is whether or not you believe you received the perceived value you got from the product you paid for. And if you are unsatisfied with it, then why did you purchase it in the first place? Also surely you must have known that it wasn't going to be refundable after you opened and used the code?

Now I believe I got the value I paid for. I did not pay for it at the value of $150 like most did, I bought it at half-price when I got the chance, because I thought $150 for it was just too much.

Anyway I don't think EA would pour more development into expanding the collectors edition unless they make it inclusive, because it doesn't add much just to satisfy one small player base of gamers. How could they possibly gain more from trying to please a few, when their targeted audience is a wider group of people?

However if they made Collector's edition attainable through downloadable stuff like the deluxe edition, it would add more revenue and maybe they can expand it a bit more. But then again, it would loss its exlusiveness if they did that. But as it stands right now, its not a priority, as they have address many times.

That "free month" was added because of the royal screw up with Ranked Warzones not being released when they said it would be in 1.2 and notifying the general public the DAY before the patch.

That "free month" was an attempt at saving all of those subs that LEFT because of it. (Which didn't work, since after 1.2 the servers turned into a major ghost town.)

The only thing that bothered me the most was not adding anything to the CE vendor (Except for the Taunta pet) for all of this time... But when the Cartel Market was introduced, tons of new things have been introduced while the CE vendor gets a "soon" response about being looked at. It's just ridiculous. Bioware would probably make a lot of people happy if they added things to it, because the CE owners are the most jaded Vets who have stuck through it all this time. (I'm sure there are those who have stuck by the game who aren't CE owners...but they're definitely not as vocal about it)

I'm a veteran and I don't feel like they owe me anything. Just because I played the game from early access doesn't mean I'm somehow superior. It's a video game, were not curing cancer.

Threads like this are a cancer, though.

I have been playing since day 1 of early access. Everything I got for free was never asked for, but was still appreciated. I don't know why people demand more. People pay a subscription fee to get more than what they say we get for the subscription? I don't get it.

Bingo. Would something more than fireworks been appreciated? Absolutely, but something people lose sight of is that they didn't have to do any lifeday events. They probably forced their devs and artists to work overtime to get some of that on the store in time. I would have wanted more than fireworks for the 1 year anniversary, something that we could show off for as long as we played the game, but look... at the end of the day it's just a game and we should all learn to enjoy it for what it is.

Instead, Bioware is making us pay for items to create "our own" Life Day event.... Oh wait, they did give us a stack of FIREWORKS!!!! YAY!!

I have been a CE owner since July 2011 and a paying subscriber since the game's first day of Early Access. The only thing I feel like I'm getting is continuously screwed. The sad part is that I honestly love the game, so I don't want to quit just because the Developers could give a rats *** about a loyal subscribers like myself.

Now, I'm not usually one to complain about not receiving something just because I'm helping pay the company bills, but I really do think it's about time that Bioware shows its appreciation for the subscribers and previous subscribers. Players should be able to openly display how long they have been supporting this game... and yes, I do mean brag. Obviously, the awards should be tiered with awards for: 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 8 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, etc.
If you think SWTOR was the worst launch in 10 years then you obviously have never played another MMO.

You got suckered into buying the CE Edition, a lot of people did because of the game hype, but I posted several times as did others about not buying the CE Edition just for the few in game items it gave you because you would be disappointed later... This happens with Every MMO that does CE Editions, it's a money grab and nothing else. No one to blame but yourself for being suckered into it.

Now if you wanted the physical items in the CE Edition then thats different... But for people who only wanted it for in game items you should of known better...

You have a founder title stop QQ'ing....

Only thing that would of been nice for Bioware to do is give long time players a 50% discount on the Life Day stuff, but you have to remember EA is all about money not keeping a loyal player base.

I agree.

And, we have in fact been awarded a variety of free things over the last year, including a free month of play time.

Veterans of the game know this. Yet some always want more.

I think it's pretty sad when people have to come onto an MMO to defend a company by pointing the entitlement finger. I honestly couldn't care less about the little things but rewarding players for their loyalty by giving them rare things for staying subbed for a period of time has many many benefits for a company and I'm sure will persuade some ardent MMO collectors to keep a sub going when they usually wouldn't. Now that doesn't mean we are "entitled" to the stuff but that doesn't mean people on here need to go on some sort of self righteous you're not entitled to anything crusade.
