**snip**

Please?!?!?!? help this problem?
  • Lack of save/load key binding templates
  • Lack of load/save skills layout
  • Lack of dual (or more) specs.

I love my juggernaut and well switched to DPS tree as I mostly solo now.
However, with dual specs I would in a heart beat play again a tank, too

See easy.

The problem with too few tanks and/or healers in any MMO is because of the MMO playerbase at large. Tanks and healers have a high potential of getting crapped on in PUGs. Who wants to be bashed and trashed because of a bad pull or a missed heal? Seriously, it isn't that fun being told "dude, you really suck".

I have always played a healing class in MMO's. SWTOR is no different for me. I pretty much ignore the immature morons that spout trash after a wipe. As most experienced healers will tell you, a wipe is typically not caused by healing, or a lack thereof, or bad tanking; but moreso is caused by a DPS'er who doesn't understand how to control their threat (aggro).

Though, like I said, I have long become immune to the PUG mentality that some bring to an instance. However, I also know many potential tanks and healers that gave up and went back to DPS'ing because of it.

You want more people to roll tanks and/or heals?

1. Roll one yourself and be part of the solution.
2. Don't bash a Tank or a Healer at every opportunity, and maybe more people will decide to choose option #1 above.

Your healer, which is being guarded meaning they take less damage, thanks to the tank and your damgage being reduced due to taunts, thanks to the tank. Yea, they are useless.
Dear BW,
Please nerf paper and buff rock. Scissors is fine as is.

Incorrect. You can still attack whoever you want but you do less damage to anyone but the tank for the duration of the taunt.

I got 3 tanks, my is dps atm coz my server does not have the population to need 3 tanks. However I love tanking but I also dont q solo a lot. Its just not worth 5 BH comms now that I am full BIS. I rather run newbies through SM fps and teach them a thing or 2 rather than run a HM with ******* who think they know a lot

He's right a tank in PvP can pretty much choose who he wants to keep alive and can be very effective at peeling opponents out of healers.

Also try a tank in HuttBall, can be pretty fun with the stuns, roots, KB, stuns immunity and so on.

I used to use GF every day on my full campaign jugg, but in the last 2 months it just got worse as time went by, brain fk'd dps just spoiled it for me, I mean really clueless people, but the thing is, I really enjoy tanking.
So I go to my next fav, heals, while a little better because my sorc is full campaign, so I can heal through stupid, but again, stupid dps makes this job very miserable, so I quit that as well.
Now? well, Im only doing FP's on my DPS, so I can add some integrity back into the roll, and hopefully the nubs will learn by watching someone that knows how to play the class.

I would so pay the devs for a key bind that says, Weakest to strongest you brain fk'd idiot.

Errr tanks in wow have had their moments in the sun in the past specifically blood DK's and prot pallies.

And i ahd to lol at your " i'll just kill your healer" comment.
Trying to solo a tank healer combo is always going to end in pain (for you) if they have half a clue. The healer could probably end up soloing you with chain taunt and guards.

Please?!?!?!? help this problem?

People who say it's BioWare's fault are somewhat on target. All mmorpgs that use the trinity system have a relative shortage of tanks. I say it's somewhat their fault because they nerfed a potential solution that I've not seen in any other game, something that was innovative.

Weren't tanking companions able to properly tank +4 heroics in beta?
I heard they could do this with reasonable gear requirements. If so, this would be a valid reason to give them back their tanking ability. This probably sounds too far-fetched to most people, but I think it's an interesting thought.

Dear paintcheck, please re-roll. The Guardian/Jugg tank is the hardest of all the tanks to hold threat with. If you still wish to tank , roll a vanguard they are idiot proof. A good tank spaces his taunts so the dps doesn't pull from the initial start. I am goining to talk tanking mechanics or strategy , I do have a question. Heres a thought where are all the good tanks? There are tons of bad tanks in this game.
All the good or even marginaly skilled tanks are in guilds and have been frustrated with the group finder or random additions to OPs or HM FP. They have sworn only to run for guildies. Why ? Because of the shenanigans random dps do. The frustration of people not listening to strategy or forceleaping to the nearst mob get old when (as the tank) starts blowing his cooldowns to contain all the extra mobs. This game has made tanking more than just stand there and take it. All the ops have a mechanic in the strategy for the tank to be mobil. How well they hold treat while cycling there cooldowns durring tank swaps and running enviormentals determins their greatness in the tanking world.
The OP should probly admit in their original post , that many tanks will refuse to take compleate strangers through FP. A disclaimer I will put, as a geared tank who has been to the hardest OPS and in a raiding guild. I know for a fact thet none of the tanks in my guild will run for non-guildies. The lack off care in co-ordinating a groups survival has angered them, so they refuse "pug it". If any one one wished to accuse me of using blanket statements. So find a guild.
Just wondering since that describes Jung-Ma perfectly.
So sick of it, me and a friend are waiting for the magic transfer patch.
