Hi.

After 1.5 I've been having issues with SWTOR crashing to desktop during a few cutscenes. It happens during the last cutscene in Black Talon, and one of the cutscenes in the first conversation of The Foundry. No error report, just straight to desktop. I've tried to run repair, didnt help. Also I know it's not only me having this issue, as I've heard other experience 100% the same. I've even had people crash at the exact same moment as me during flashpoints more than once. As there was nothing about this in todays patchnotes, I make this thread. Anyone got any inputs?

Cheers

Same problem here and I've heard of others experiencing it so it's not isolated case

Hi guys,

I have come across this with one or two other players, the first step would be to check the reliability history to see what the cause of the crash is.

To do this:

Spoiler

Thanks.

Oh good you guy's can respond to retarded cutscene issues, but Companions don't work and you've got nothing to say?

Hi Nanglez,

We are not ignoring anything, I am trying to answer everything I can. Just because I have answered this thread does not mean I will not look at the others, including the thread you are referring to.

Thanks.

At least 2 on a group of 4, all the time.

Hi Amantino,

The error you are receiving shows that the crash may have been related to a possible corruption in the Microsoft Visual Studio C++ currently installed on your system. I would suggest to perform a clean install of Visual Studio on your system. You can find the 32 bit version here and the 64 bit version here.

@TheBabyEater: Are you also encountering this problem? If so, it might be helpful to follow my instructions and post a copy of the reliability history so I can see why it is happening.

Thanks.

Ok, thanks for replying. I only had Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 installed (Version 9.0.x). The one you linked is Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (Version 10.0.x), which I have installed now. Will get back to you with updates if it happens again, or if it dont.

Cheers!
