Go on steam. There is a 20 bucks game there called ''Crusader Kings II''. You do constantly choices that ALWAYS matter. It's pretty depressing when compared to TOR ''morality meter''.
Ah, I see. Well WoW is the most popular game in the west and everybody knows that. Even if they gained new subs after the expansion, will they keep it? We'll find that out in the next following months. However, you completly ignored my point. Because WoW has more subs than SWTOR (and all the other MMOs combined) doesn't mean their game is CLEARLY superior. So far, it's hardly better than SWTOR. PVP wise, they are doing worse than SWTOR and GW2. Let's hope they fix their crap because imo, the more successful games with good pvp we have , the better. I don't want WoW, SWTOR and GW2 to fail.

As for role-playing, are you playing on Jung Ma? Anyway lots of exaggerations in your posts which prove that you're as biased as the most hardcore fanboys of SWTOR.

If there is no personal/class story, it will pretty much become WOW and GW1's style, not sure about GW2 since I only played to level 24 but the personal story seems like TOR.

In WOW(I haven't played for a long while so I might make a mistake ) and GW1, every class/race have almost the same quests and there is little choice you can make, so that let every character feel like the same since they went through the whole story, lorewise it's not some good way.

You know..i still find myself skipping through the story even on new alts. Why ? Because the last paragraph before you make your choice is all I need. Besides no matter how you defend it , at the end it's still go to this place and get this item, destroy this item, scan this item and come back to me.
We didn't start the Star Wars,They were already fightin' em,since George was writing them!!

No, what I think is after a years time, with every thing that happend from launch.... on top of the illusion and new shiney wearing off after the first month or two... it deserved to be changed.
Well It's only because I chose the option for same class players to be able to come into mine in the UI. So no the design isn't that bad as all the side stories etc are multi-player , the only thing that makes this a difficult MMO really is the fact if people want to group up in the middle of a planet then it's difficult to get your class and side story missions to be in sink.

As for the review , it might have needed a new review as mmorpg's take time to go through and try out everything. So bearing that in mind you are correct , so why has this guy left the game for over 8 months after not trying the game fully to come back and try the game briefly again and then give it 4/10 and not for anything that they have added. Just based his review on F2P. It's a null and void review. Also why did they give the game an 8/10 based on playing for a few hours , that was bad also , basically the whole euro gamer site is pretty pointless right now and I shan't read anything there ever again.

You write a proper review Soluss.

Cheers,

BadOrb.

I recently returned after being here from the beta.
I got to play the game during one of the last tester weekends, and was suprised that my low end machine ran it decently enough for my standards, so when it released I purchased the game and subbed up.

In february howeer (i think it was february), they released a game update which suddenly made my game run horrific, the fps dropped to an average of 5/6 in certain areas, and I could thus no longer play.

With the addition of the f2p option, I decided to try it again, see if they had fixed it, and there it is, smooth SWTOR running just fine now.
After getting back into the game last week, I decided to sub up again today.

This game isnt a traditional MMO in terms of where the focus was laid down on during development, but does it have to be? I find it just fine the way it is now (hoods aside). And I'd say that Eurogamers review was correct in some aspects, but for the most part came off asif the revieuwer was paid to say negative things.

Yeah! like how there are a bunch of group missions where the quest title itself tells you to get in a group with other players or the fact that you get social points and EXTRA xp for being in a group while other mmo's give you less xp for being in a group.....

Oh wait...

Well that's most of the MMO's game style, but TOR did very well on the story compare to others.

So, the reviewer didn't like the game.

That never happens in other games...shocking.

I think of all the MMOs I've played SWTOR is the least disappointing in the end. So I managed to stop focussing on the negative and enjoy what I do like. Which is plenty. But yes SWTOR does have its flaws but at least I like the world and I like leveling in this game cause the story lines are great.

To each their own. Hate it? That's fine. I still like it. Just glad the stories were better than ME2 and 3....

Oh, you mean all 5 of those group missions per 100 quests per planet? Yeah, thats a good arguement.
James Ohlen: " For 2012 we really want players to feel like they're getting their money's worth. You're going to see so many changes and additions to the Star Wars Universe. It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting."
