That is it WoW is the last of its kind and F2P is the new way to go.

I used to think like you for the longest but facts are facts. People will not try anything new because of there fear of wasting money. F2P opens that door to players who want to try something new and you know what it is working here.

SWTOR is a great game with new ideas just like RIFT so don't tell me these games lack in content or new ideas because they have brought great new ideas for MMOs.

I am a firm believer that certain companies in this industry pays certain bloggers and MMO critics money to keep the gamming community one sided for a certain game or blinded.

This game has had a huge margin of bloggers and critics demoralize it from the begaining to the point that a lot who wanted to try it never did but since F2P is here, I say watch out now!

Companions
1) Customization I.E. gear/personal look
2) Its like playing two characters in one
3) Companions also compensate for players who only want to play a certain tree (I.E. Tank/Healer/DPS).

Space Mission
1) Individual class ships
2) Gear customization for your ship.

Crafting
1) Crafting is by far the best I have played in any MMO (Not to hard and not to simple)

Classes
1) Every Class has a different story makes for a none boring game to play.
2) Choice matters when choosing your advanced class.

PvP
1) Huttball (Need I say more here)

The greatest of them all is VO STORY (Fourth Pillar which is the innovation that they said they were bringing to the genre)
1) multiple avenues for every story line
2) Planet story
3) Class story
4) Companion Story
5) Romance Story
6) No novel to read when questing.
7) Personality choice making for your character.
8) Light/Dark side points
9) Social points
10) Its like watching a movie and playing a video game all in one.
11) Codex

This game has so much to offer and I know there are more things to add but I truly don't understand why people say this game has nothing to offer, to me that is nothing but BS and unfair.

Maybe that is what they didn't like
Disagree with you entirely. They made everything just easier to copy paste. People still use the exact same abilities for the exact same bosses and pvp. Nothing will ever change that. The game is also back to it's old roots of being complete **** with daily grinds for rep and other annoyances. So far I've seen nothing but negativity towards MoP.

Its not that the game has nothing to offer. Its that all of its touted innovative ideas are taken from other games or is just flat out poorly designed. And everyone remembers how rabid the fanboyism of the game was. GW2 was only worse because it had more people ranting and raving about how great it would be. SWTOR had far less people behind it and they were just as zealous.

The thing about MMOs like GW2 and WoW is that those games are developed to be enjoyable by a very specific set of people and they achieve what they set out to do. SWTOR is lacking in that refined definition to the game. It offers nothing specific or unique to the player other then the IP its based upon. Everything in it as far as design goes is simply meh. Theirs still issues with a simple system such as the camera pan.

Gamers get very pissy about being asked to pay 60-160$ for a game and then a sub fee to play a game that is still in its first beta phase when it is launched. And even more so when its been a year later. People want SWTOR to be better, we just know that with EA behind the wheel and Biowares inability to design the game its not going to happen. So we love to hate it because we hate that we want to love it and can't because what we love about games makes us hate SWTOR.

I played WoW for 7 years and just left. My reason for leaving had nothing to do with the talent trees however. It was a hefty combination of hating the Cross realm zones (specifically the day night flashing), 32 members of my family leaving the game and I think I just hit the I am done stage.

There is alot of dislike in the WoW community for this XPac and I do believe SWTOR is reaping some benefit from it as things are now. The question is long term what the results will be.

I for one am having a blast here.

Fanboy troll is obvious.

- SWTOR is more simplified and dumbed down than WoW could ever be.
- SWTOR also offers field respecs.
- If people are so afraid to try non-F2P mmos, I guess you pretend the 2+million that paid for the retail box (80%+ of which SWTOR lost) don't exist.

Sorry. If you want to troll successfully, you need to pick less hypocritical arguments.

What does the talent tree have to do with difficulty? WoW endgame PVE i.e. hardmode progression raiding is much harder than SWTORs. WoW's PVP is intensely more competitive than SWTORs. Everything about SWTOR is easier than WoW. SWTOR isn't going to fool anybody. A pretty sizable amount of progression raiding and PVP players came and gave SWTOR a shot and they didn't like it.

You're never going to beat WoW at what it does best, and what it does best is offers really good endgame raid content and the most competitive MMO PVP/PVE scene in the world. (Note: I didn't say most balanced, so before you have a fit of Asperger's take a breath and read what I'm actually saying.)

Those people who are complaining about the new talent trees lack the ability to think critically. How many different builds really existed with the old talent trees? The answer is not that many because there was always one or two that were the best. At least now, you generally have a real choice when it comes to talents. For that matter, pretty much ever spec in this game is the same old cookie cutter spec while moving around a few points.
