As well as suggestions for other f2p games.. I personally remain enamored with this one.
Well at least the bag and shoes are real.

Being physical objects doesn't make a luxury item any more real or valuable than items bought for money in a video game. These things have value based on how much we want them, not if we can touch them or not.

I'm sorry but when buying those shoes you're paying 30$ for the physical materials and another 120$ for the brand.

And buying a brand is as much 'real' as some vanity Bounty Hunter armor from the cartel shop.

Uh, yeah it does. A physical object you own. A virtual object in ToR is owned by EA, not you. You are litterally paying for EA to own something. They can take it away from you tommorow and you would have no leg to stand on because you dont own it.

It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting."

Im sure if you said to someone that does not play games that you subscribe to a game for a monthly fee that you where a sucker, but you get something out of it you would tell them. Cartel packs are the same a chance at some rare items, a bit of fun, up to the person if they want to buy or not. But calling them suckers is a bit rich.
Snowflakes Snowflakes everywere. They are getting in my hair.

Wish I had that kind of disposable income to throw away at fake things.

You already are, friend. Time is money and you're wasting it chasing pixels in one form or another.

Anyway, i only bought like 10 packs, got 2 of the weapons i wanted (blaster and 1h lightsaber) + some other stuff i didn't care about. Watching the GTN, i'd say it's a lot more profitable to buy authorizations and unlocks and sell those to people that used to be subscribers and want to unlock stuff before they go f2p. An account-wide artifact authorization was like 5 mil last time i checked on my server. On the same server you can buy Nihilus mask, one of those rare weapons and a white crystal for less than 5 mil.

So don't gamble, spend wise.

Anyone who needs that authorization can not even get 5 mil Credits because of the credit cap.

Unless he has a subbing friend willing to spend that much.
