You obviously don't know what Pay to Win means...... There is nothing on the cartel store that gives you an advantage at end game...

Pay to win means I can go to the cash shop buy the best gear in the game and own everyone in PvP... That's an example of Pay to Win..... Everything that is sold in the Cartel Shop is optional and is not needed to play the game or compete in the game.

I guess you could call it Pay to Fluff...

There are two ways to view this IMO.

You can look at it like that my subscription now only costs me $10 a month and i am paying $5 for the 500 cartel coins i am getting, or you can say that my subscription costs me $15 still but i am getting 500 CC as a bonus each month. It is a win-win situation no matter how you look at it...

Also like to point out that 500 CC per a month for subs is only if you pay month to month. If you sub in 3 or 6 month blocks you will get an even higher allotment of CC apparently.

As a result I had to save for 3 months to get a new mount and there was no way to get that same mount via questing...

Thomas Jefferson once said:
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

... and that's what's happening here too... Granted I don't have to play the game and I can quit anytime but the way they are doing it now is just simply wrong.
Not sure what you're talking about. Every time you can get in the Cartel Shop is simply vanity items, meaning the don't make you have an edge in the gaming world to dps harder, tank better, or heal better. Once they introduce an item that is better, statewise, than anything you can get in the game, then yes, it will become P2W. Until then, you're freaking out at nothing substantial.

It looks like someone has no idea what pay to win is.

The store items give 0 benefit over anything you can already get ingame thus no pay to win. It's just fluff and vanity items.

500CC a month, bargain!! If you add all the benifits of the full subscription + the 500CC, it would work out alot more if priced individually. I think I shall keep my sub, and enjoy the fun vanity items that go with it

No. The 500 is right in the ballpark for what other games do for their subscribers. If you want more, buy them.

QFT. Everyone is getting so lazy now. "I want more CC's since I'm paying a sub". If you can't afford to buy extra CC's for VANITY ITEMS that DO NOT EFFECT GAMEPLAY then save your monthly free coins, or buy it from the GTN. Although you will probably ****** about the prices being too high, lol.

One should never beable to "buy" their way to the top in a game. That is tantemount to "cheating". You are by passing the games "rules" which are time based. If your "skill" can speed you along the way to success then great the system is working but, it should never be circumvented becasue someone is "richer" irl than someone else. Besides, most people that "buy" their way to the top really suck as players.

Why? Have you ever examined that belief?

Right now, I could pay someone to level my character to 50 and raid for me. That's not theoretical, I actually make enough to pay someone a decent wage to do that. I don't, because I really don't care about being the "best" whatever that means. But it is already the fact that someone can buy their way to power.
