All cartel gear should be:

Orange adaptive Bind on Legacy, Level 1 gear with a set of level 1-9 mods included.

If your characters can't all wear it when it is useful to them (i.e., mostly while leveling), then who cares?

The only good thing is that the gear is adaptive so you have a few more options. HOWEVER, they are still level gated. Which sucks. If I want to rip the mods out and put noob mods in so my level 10 Jedi Knight can go through the story and cinematics looking the way i want, WHY ARE YOU STOPPING ME
I agree.

Yeah actually that would make a difference too.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

Whoever is saying it's BOE when you put mods in it hasn't actually done this on test. Putting mods into the gear binds it to the character you do it on.

If the bound part was erased if it was just a shell (IE taking all the mods out again), it would make a world of difference, but that's not the case.

Here's a thought, to keep bio ware and maybe us happy.

Why not be able to choose a legacy mod instead of the construction kits that are no use to anyone at the moment.

These could either be crafted or bought with cartel coins etc.

A bit like adding an aug slot, but instead turns that item to legacy.

By doing this it adds to the games economy, keeps us happy by letting us choose the legacy items, avoids duplication of a massive amount of items and a flooding of legacy items which should be quite rare.

It also adds some meat to legacy and tries to mend the legacy item debacle/construction kits which no one uses.

Just a thought if your listening bioware.....

Here's my opinion:

Cartel points are spread out over your account. I mean, if I buy 2000 cartel points, I won't have 2000 points when I log on my assassin and then another 2000 when I log on my Knight etc. etc. My opinion is that as long as cartel points points are per account and not per character, equipment bought with them should be BoL.

Interesting idea. As long as this "mod" is expensive enough not to put crafters of new items out of a job.

Bound to legacy of course. Cannot see a reason why it should be BoP or even BoE.

No, they shouldn't be. Free to play and cartel coins are a means of raising money without a subscription. That means the more people buy, the better. You want things without paying, get a subscription. Then you just have to have a little patience. Oh wait, I forgot where I am, lol. No patience here. In any case, making shop items legacy would defeat the purpose.

Oh, and construction kits are very useful indeed if you play multiple characters. With such good stories, I can`t imagine why anyone wouldn`t.

NO, cash shop items are intended to bring in extra cash! Making them legacy bound items for subscription players will severely reduce the potential income those items may bring to the game.
