It's pathetic.
I guess you wouldn't like any other Star Wars EU material. Almost all of the protagonists are humans or near-humans.

Personally, I ignore such messages. Groups that start off with one or two people deciding to go run a raid are typically painful. So the groups I join are the "LF1M DPS" or "LF1M healer". They don't always work out, but usually at least there is a core of coordinated people to anchor the group.

The same vein, when I run with my guild, we will frequently look for a DPS or two to bring along, although we usually try to fill tank and healer slots with alts.

And I never ever join things like "LF1M healer SM OP for comms"....just queue, and I'll join there!

Please, stop with this joke. Nothing in SWTOR is hard to solo. I have to group up in WoW constantly, especially since it's the only way to get dailies down because every Horde and Alliance player is camping mobs while flagged spamming macros to tag everything you need to complete the quest.

It took WoW all the way until Cataclsym to start cutting out the required group quests, but a lot of them are still there and unlike SWTOR where most classes can solo them with companions, in WoW you can't.

Ummm... they've done nothing but appeal to group A and it's been anywhere from a disappointment to a collosal disaster, depending on what degree of spin you want to apply to it.

They pretend group B doesn't exist. Several million former players of EQ, DaoC, AC, CoH, etc would beg to differ.

If there's only the one item and someone is fighting a mob guarding it I will wait my turn, but I do not see that very often from other players.
I do the same. But also, if I am about to loot an item, and you are standing there waiting your turn, expect a group invite from me so we can both get credit. I wish more people would do the same for me. Good behavior should be rewarded.

People that complaing about PVP, on a PVP Server, on a PVP Planet, in a PVP zone.

People that go to ilum, do their PVE thing, then leave, making no effort to PVP on a PVP Server.

People that think PVP is all about 1 v 1, or 4 v 4 or 8 v 8, etc.

People that think their gank squad of 6 to 12 players, that killed one player makes them kewl.

People that think ranked war zones are the end all be all of all PVP.

People that play smashie marras and think they are kewl for killing one player, whle they are guarded and being healed by two other players.

CSRs that pay more attention to whining rump hurt players instead of the rules of the game.

This describes Black Hole perfectly.

Here's the difference. I do BH once a week to get my BH comms, a very tangible reward. I can get all the dailies in there done within about a half an hour. I can easily do Torvix with any combination of classes, you can even do it with two dps and two companions. You ask for a group for that, it's instant. Easy, fast, done. Too many people around? Switch instances. They increased to box spawning time so much that it's never an issue.

Here's WoW. 4-5 different daily hubs that I am expected to do every day just to grind reputation with those factions, jUST so I can spend the valor badges I need for gear. Every single one of those dailies is overloaded with people and you can't even change to a less populated instance. Also some other jerk on the other faction is always standing on your quests givers flagged. At least you never have to deal with THAT in swtor. :P

WoW had it right when they switched to the tabard system in WOTLK. For some reason in all their wisdom they decided "Well, that makes people get done with their grind too fast. Let's take that away so that we can artificially extend their playtime doing things that aren't fun".

PS - at least nobody can spam macros in swtor, I like how you edited my post from macros into "aoe"
PPS - pretty sure aoe doesn't flag people anymore, though I haven't actually tried it recently

PPS - My intention is not to start a war over whose dailies are more annoying, honestly both games are. I just highly disagree with WoW being easier to solo than SWTOR.

I have never encountered such an unfriendly and hostile community. I won't group because of that and just because you join a guild, doesn't mean that it won't be full of ******s or the next one. Which really boggles me because if everyone loves star wars, why is the game so full of animosity?

I am not saying that everyone should be a carebear, I love sarcasm and such, but there isn't any reason for how rude people are in this game. maybe its just the way of MMO's now, which is a shame.

It's a solo game that rewards and encourages solo play.

There is no community pressure to behave because there are no consequences to being a jerk in a solo game.
