While I have lots of things to say about that they tow a bit too close to the TOS so I'll just leave it there.

As for the issue of it being upcoming content it was declared as such earlier in the year. Those comments have not been rescinded, so while some of those people are no longer employed. The comments as such stay with Bioware regardless of whether or not those people are working there or not, as they made those comments as extensions of the company and not as private individuals. I repeat my earlier response of, the stock response mentions no new information. Wouldn't cancelling this upcoming feature count as new information relating to it?

While we can't say with 100% certainty that it is coming, we can at least say it with 80% certainty

There has never been one confirmaion from BW that SGR is in fact definitely being added to the game. Had there been it would be pasted all over this thread and would be displayed in people forum sigs. All we have is vague posts from staff members who were here at the time saying generic things like "Sure we'd love to have that in game and its something we would like to add soon...." etc.....this does not amount to any kind of formal confirmation that the feature is even being worked on let alone definitely happening.

If this is 80% certain to be happening (which makes no sense in and of itself btw - you are either certain or not) then why is there no official word on it? Why was Hall Hoods tweet deleted and why is it continually ignored in QA sessions? I'm not trying to play devils advocate here I am just trying to point out many pro SGR posters talk about this is a feature that is pending or soon to be released however the weight of evidence suggests the opposite so I am wondering where you get the "80% certainty" from lol?

It's almost as if you have an actual official confirmation from BW that SGR's are definitely being implemented rather than maybe half a dozen vague statements made by designers / writers that no longer work for the company.

Due to the design constraints of a fully voiced MMO of this scale and size, many choices had to be made as to the launch and post-launch feature set. Same gender romances with companion characters in Star Wars: The Old Republic will be a post-launch feature. Because The Old Republic is an MMO, the game will live on through content expansions which allow us to include content and features that could not be included at launch, including the addition of more companion characters who will have additional romance options.

Although it really would help settle this point if BioWare would make a current statement, in light of the current state of the game, reaffirming that commitment. That the Community Team cannot even confirm that previous statements are still applicable is disappointing.
