Pvp arena?!!?

As long as people who support rated PvP require that it come along with some kind of reward other than to see your name on a ladder, you'll find even more who are vehemently opposed to its existence. Arena PvP doesn't deserve anything special.

PvP scenario + High Rated Players + High Rated Gear + Ladder = Arena's

As a Bloodfin native, I approve this message.

WoW PvP system is trash. First its Class, second composition, third spec , fourth gear fifth skill...
Skill is the least important factor in PvP in WoW.
WoW aint considerd a big pro-game. its considerd to not be that skill-based so "true" pros laugh at it.

I Love PvP dont get me wrong. But i think SWTOR should focus on PvP around the lore. World PvP with big scale battles like EvE but on the ground. Were maby sides battle to controll planets with good recourses or somthing like that. Not a sad arena type of PvP were you go in and fight people for no reason. Were do it even fit in the lore?
I WANT PvP but i want it formed around the lore of SWTOR. Not so called pro-gaming.

Arenas have got to be one of the worst ideas ever concieved to integrate into an MMO experience. The system does little to reward the team and instead focuses on the individual with 'special' items so you can look more important then everyone else. And not to mention the rampant elitism that comes with having them.

Thanks, but I'll pass on blizzards idea of rated pvp. Not to mention the balance issues this game would be centered on if it decided to embrace this system.

If they HAD to add a rated form of pvp, I wouldn't be against rated WZ's or TDM guild vs guild.

Things like arena, dps meters, and gear score do nothing but detract from the central purpose of playing an immersive video game, fun.

If you are unable to function normally or feel good about yourself without flexing your e-peen then you don't need an arena system, you need professional help.

I want to stressout that PvP imo are very important in this game and should be implemented even more. BUT NOT ARENA. the mmo is built around the conflict between sith and republic and there for i think PvP are a must. It should be as stated before more of world-pvp (planet dominance) or/and bgs. These can be rated aswell.
I have no problem with profit from bgs or world pvp in the form of titels like they hade in vanilla (when wow were a good game) and even some pvp tokens.

I like the idea of arena.
