With this game dying a little bit each day, I don't see why they WOULDN'T put in holiday events.
Subs wouldn't go up IMO. And even if they did, they'd soon go back to how they were after the event. So not really worth the time for the devs.

Yes I think they are approaching some aspects of the game way too serious. Itīs a game, make it fun

God forbid they give those of us that don't like alts and pvp something to do in the game. (not hating on you, just using your post as an example)

So damn bored of doing laps on the fleet. Any kind of event would be good. Something to do.

Yes, a zombie invasion sounds pretty perfect. A modified version of the Rakghoul event or something--a Dread Master has been experimenting with Sith immortality rituals. Create a dark and eerie environment on one of the planets where power has been cut and we all have to run around with the floaty lights above our heads.

Totally doable, and in keeping with SW lore.

there is one small connection to the SW galaxy and Earth: In ET, during their Halloween trek, ET saw someone dressed as Yoda and kept saying, "home...home..home..." as he recognized the spiecies. Add in the 2 second image of ETs race sitting in their own Pod in teh Senate during Episode I and BAM...connection.

Cheesy holiday events might turn more of the hardcore SW fans off.

It doesn't have to be "Halloween". It can just be a harvest festival of sorts. Use your imagination
I was waiting for this response.

What planet? Why would a "harvest vestival" be celebrated on say, Hoth? Tatooine? Belsavis?

So fail.

NO "earth holidays" (heck the real meanings are lost even today in a secular selfish society)!

The holiday events IF they did any should be based in the "lore" of the SWEU ONLY.

Judging by how long it takes to add content to this game, even content that was in it during beta(hk), I'm not convinced they could pull it off. Halloween event during Christmas maybe...

I don't really see why they have to be "cheesy", LOTRO's events for example fit pretty well with the LOTR lore and atmosphere.

I mean a Death Troopers zombie out-break for Halloween need not be in any way cheesy and more than the Rakghoul event was.

But then ANY event is pretty rare in SWTOR, it's been nearly 1 year since Live and we've had 2 events, the Rakghoul Plague and the scavenger hunt one.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?
