Absolutely true. That's the gist of my freeview reference. If the subscriber finds a channel they like (like the Flashpoint channel or the Ops channel) and want to watch it more than a few times week then they'll have to subscribe to do so. I just used the PPV term to open the dialogue up a bit, though I would hazard a guess that there could eventually be a PPV option that bridges freeview and full subscription.

If a manufacturer doesn't offer an option then one can't order that option from them, and no amount of money will change that (unless they race Formula 1 or something.)

Would not surprise me in the least.
Can we please just have our pre-KotFE SWTOR MMORPG back?

It will already be in your account information so you won't have to bust anything out. The first time you enter your payment information will be the last time you'll have to do so until you either cancel or change payment options.

You will only nickle and dimed if you choose to be. The game itself will not change.

No actually, as a subber you get a monthly stipend of cartel coins. You just need to save your coins and given time ypu can buy it. Yes it will take a long time and yes there will always be more to buy but you can get it. Without paying a dime other than sub. (In time)

Subscibers in SWTOR should get enough coins to buy at least something per month (arguably more than 1 something at that).

Well that depends on the manufactuerer, several will do whatever you want so long as you'll pay for it.

But the options are there in F2P, you just don't get them.

It's one of the things that has kept WoW were it is, if SWTOR were WoW it would have encorporated the best bits of SWG and DAoC/WAR without a doubt.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

My hope is the Cartel Shop is set up with "fluff" items only. Things like pets, or social gear, etc. Only items that change the APPEARANCE of the game, but have zero stat effect. That way you dont HAVE to buy anything to enjoy the game, but if you want you/yourship/yourcompanions/pets to look a certain way you can spend coins to do it. Would be nice if some of the cartel items were added as drops in areas that are limited access or no access to ftp, or if they could be sold by black hole vendors so you could grind them out if you really wanted them.
OOOooottiiniiiii!!!

I'd pay $30 a month for this game. It's better than cable.

The cartel coins really don't have anything to do with f2p or sub. It's just micro-transactions to generate more money. f2p players will be getting a lite version of the game which they can unlock certain things with coins but from the subbers perspective you can look at it like nothing has changed. You're still paying $15 for the full game and the extras are just that.
