Cartel Coins Rewards Program concerns

To be fair (and before anyone flames me)...I've been on the fence over this game for a long long time. Finally got a new copy VERY cheap, upon reading the F2P FAQ and thought I would be cheeky. Why not. Gets me some coins for no outlay.

If that is not the case, then tough luck on me I guess hehe...and that's the way the cookie crumbles. But again, under EA, Bioware have never been great at wording and communication. In my mind (Business and English educated), the FAQ I read stated that 'any sub' prior to FTP got 'x' amount of coins.

Well, I am subbed. I have signed up, and annoyingly, also had to set up my subscription at the time of applying the free game time...so as far as I am concerned, I am a subscriber.

The problem with the written word, can be taken to mean so many different things. Perhaps that's why my wife and I argue so much :P

Yeah it's unclear whether any cartel coins are been given for:


1. Free time given out in April.

2. Free time given with any box purchase.


It seems like problem not for at least one of those, unless the whole cartel coin webpage is just not adding things up correctly.

just like it was when they gave out the free month to level 50 players as a reward

As a person that actually played for 6 full months before taking a break only to return just before announcement of F2P, i have only showing 4 months credit (150 type) for that 6 month period....so whats that mean?

Well means that 'free month with purchase' so far does not earn coins, and April 'free' month doesnt earn any coins.

Way their system is calculating is if you go My SWTOR > My Account > Subscription (on side list not top like others) > Show Payment History...You see all purchases made to your account, which is every paid month + either special additions. That seems to be manner to which the system is currently showing your 'earned' coins.

*DISCLAIMER* - At no point am I stating this is 'proper' or 'intended' determination of distrubition of Cartel Coins, simply observed manner to which the 'system' is currently calculating your 'earned' coins.

So haven't really been keeping track of this thread, it says I'll get 2300 CC's, is that a correct amount for someone who's been subbed since launch and bought the CE?

Sounds right as long as you haven't paid your October sub and received the free month, my sub is due on 22nd and I have 1300 without the CE.

Yeah sounds about right if he doesn't have/hasn't been credited for the DE, the rewarded free time and box time.


The highest so far for everything seems to be 2950 (with 2 weeks unsubbed, which is more than a little confusing ).

The only way I can see this number would be;

Buy digital - 250
Sub for say 3 months (Jan- March) - 450
Unsub for 2 weeks - then buy CE - 1000 (gives 30 days free time)
Sub for 3 months (May - July) - 450
Sub August - 200
Buy 3 month sub (Sept - Nov) - 600

Overall total 2950

Basically the upgrade had to be sometime before June and the player not receive the free month. Just my guess
