I see it as a downgrade to our player experience, and the price point of $10 would attract many more paying players, which would be ideal- more pay to play, less free to play playerbase.
All we would get is another group saying the price should be $5 a month... People aren't going to be happy unless they get to play EVERYTHING for free... we seem to live in a era where people want free stuff they d/led pirated Movies, Games and copy music illegally....

It's rather sad what the last few generations have turned into....
F2P is like driving on a long stretch of highway with toll booths every 1/2 mile

I think that maybe a $12.99 monthly fee is fair or maybe even $11.99....for a monthly fee, kinda of a middle road for both company and players.
We didn't start the Star Wars,They were already fightin' em,since George was writing them!!

Personally I'm waiting to see the value of the cartel coins.

Lowering the sub cost would be a great idea. Let's say someone only plays WZ's. it's likely the weekly price of unlimited warzones is going to be less than a sub. Well you would hope so.

I don't think you can earn Cartel Coins through in-game means. It's cash or nothing.

That being said when I read thing like this:

I want to kick some butts because not only it's not always that easy for people to get a job, or pay the bills with the income they are able to get and for some they can't even work. And for some $5 is something.

Then I don't think for a game that (personal opinion) isn't better than LotRo, I should pay $5 more monthly ($60 yearly ) for roundly the same service. More precisely TOR isn't worth 50% more than LotRo.

Note: BTW I'm speaking LotRo founder status vs TOR pre-order/1st month subscribers.
I think the thing that really frustrates me about people like you're talking about is they completely ignore the fact that quite a few of the people that play this game are likely kids paying for the sub fee with allowance and chore money. If the kid gets like $5 week for doing chores SWTOR is like 75% of his allowance. And those people are basically saying "go violate the child labor laws or you cheap lazy moron" and it's really kinda moronic. That they can't see past the "anyone that can't afford this is a lazy college drop out her der" is actually really sad.

This is correct for now or at least for launch of F2P per BW.

That's the great thing about it! If $14.99 a month is too much, you can go F2P!

Enjoy!

I'm sure it's been mentioned above somewhere, but dropping the sub to $9.99 in the hopes of more subs means you need to increase the playerbase by 50% or you actually lose money. Once they see the income from the Cartel Store I know there will be tweaks and new items, such as "Warzone Monthly Pass" for the equivalent of $5 worth of coins, or something similar.

That way you can play for free, then focus on what you want for a small cost per month. if you find you want WZs, FPs AND maybe artifact gear... you might as well sub because you're paying just as much and you'll get the rest of the perks plus the free Coins/month for being a sub.

Please refrain from using logic on the forums. The posters here do not understand the concept and instead post based on their own emotional whims without any consideration to best business practices. Thank you for your cooperation.
