I've heard about this(being able to buy cartel coins in-game), but I am wary that the cost-conversion ratio will not be balanced. Time will tell, I suppose. Also, thanks, I hope things get better soon too.

so with all the turbine points i had i just decided to drop sub and buy the packs i needed to run with guild, probley will do same here because don't feel game is worth 15 bucks anymore with all the bugs and crashing ect since 1.4

If you can't afford $14.99 for a game sub you can't afford a $9.99 sub fee

But then you'd have to play LotRo...I wasn't impressed...WoW clones honestly bore me...were this one not SW based I wouldn't even bother...CoH was the last MMO that I felt was innovative and broke the mold. The $15 is what it is and will be that way. I can honestly say it's worth 1.5 movie tickets...if you think it isn't, no one is stopping you from not paying it...CoH survived and made 3 mil per year on just 100k subs...this game can too...

To date since my first graduation a year and a half ago, I've put out over 200+ applications, hearing back from only 15 which told me that I wouldn't get the position due to a lack of experience or a lack of various expensive certifications. I work a part-time job where I'm lucky to get $200 a month, just enough to cover my cell bill, gas cost, and car payment to get me back and forth to school. I do not qualify for Pell grants, and I pay my way through college on tuition scholarships that thankfully cover my lab and facility costs as well.

Stop thinking everyone screams for entitlement. Some of us honestly don't have the cash and don't have the means to procure it. I was able to get this month's sub from fixing a computer down the street, the first call I've gotten for a computer repair in four months.

To that end, I feel that the $15 I have to spend on SWTOR had better be damn well worth the money, and currently, I don't feel that. Even leveling up characters from 1 to 50 is boring with little to no break from the boredom of grinding, save for space missions, flash points, and war zones, which, of course, will be limited with the new FTP restriction. Personally, and I know I'm going to get eaten by a rancor for saying so, I do think that SWTOR is worth some sort of sub a month, but definitely not 15 bucks.
OT:
I can understand you Faladis, best wishes to you.

If your story is indeed accurate (anyone can say anything on the net) clearly the price of this game isn't your biggest problem. Rather than discussing the subscription fee with you I'm going to try to help you.

This our company website and we have around 1,700 jobs available nationwide with a large number of them being technology based. If you do indeed have a computer science degree you'd do well to apply.

It'll probably take some serious grinding, but the way I look at that is eventually you'll stockpile enough coins to do what you like, after all it's not costing you a monthly sub to play

Most games that created a F2P option still have a monthly sub option, which is the same price, and free players have limitations. What they do in the future will lately alter based on the research that comes out of this transition.
During its Q1 FY13 call to investors, CEO John Riccitiello called “sales of SWTOR disappointing”, but it was offset by sales of the Battlefield 3 Premium Service.

Star Wars: The Old Republic has less than a million subscribers, at present, and the firm said during its call 40% of players didn’t like paying a subscription, and many said they would come back if it went F2P.

EA announced during its Q3 FY12 call the sub base went from 1.7 million subscribers to 1.3 million, which is a 25% decline.

Here. This is where EA is making reference that F2P will bring back sub because they dont like paying for a subscripiton.

This current F2P is not going to appease those 40% that are going to "come back", because its basically a trial membership and this game will remain P2P.

I dont care about the 15 dollars I justwant to see a plan to bring back more subs and I dont see this as that plan.

this game should be like gw2,
use b2p,
and only pay for expansion,
no more ops, wz,
put them into expansion,
do not release more race, companion,
just turn into b2p.

he means this game doesn't deserve $15 a month,
u have to agree that due to so many bugs and stupid buff nerf idea with EVERY patch,
yes, swtor worth $60 at launch, but after that, every major thing is going worse and worse.
