Honestly,I have never understood the reasoning behind rolling out patches then having servers crashed. After countless hours of building such a patch you would think they could and would test deployment method in this case rolling it out on identical servers and load the server down and deploy said patch to see if it does crash the servers or what. If this patch is the cause of the server issue then should just roll the server back to 7:30am or whenever the last good configurations for the server was then go back to testing the bloody patch out on yet again dummy servers so that the population whom is PAYING FOR SAID service is able to utilize said service instead of sitting there saying we are investigating it and we have no ETA. Though in all reality we have no legal actions nor any promise that the servers are to be playable so they could techincallyleave em down for days on end and nothing we could do except quit paying for it. Which this kinda issue will further cost Bioware customers...at least the impatient ones so with the decline in the population since Launch and continual decline in population you would think they would try to prevent these issues but here we are faced with yet another issue and random patching instead of set days like MOST BIG MMOS

So, there's apparently a patch to download, having started it up mere minutes ago. Color me intrigued.

The bugs that we've had to deal with since 1.4 finally take a toll on the servers?

This is the reason there are 2 bridges open on a SEV1 like this: Tech bridge and Exec Bridge ... for obvious reasons. Think of this thread as the Exec bridge: WE WANT 3 MINUTE INCREMENTAL UPDATES! And the work done on the Tech Bridge: well, we need to fix the problem not talk about it guys.

It has actually been the plan for a while. We were supposed to have a patch a few hours ago that didn't require a server restart, just a launchpad restart to get this download. But for some reason the servers went down.
