Server crash?

There are severe hardware issues, i.e. data communication, cables, relays, etc... between the database and login servers for two entire regions. Big uh oh....wish it was just some game servers because that can be fixed a lot quicker. When there is an issue with the actual database and login servers they keep their mouths shut because it freaks people out & they don't really tell anyone details.

Whenever you want to play SWTOR, your client connects to the login server. Then the login server checks your data in the database which sends all important information back to the login server. Now you get your character list displayed. After selecting a character, the login server guides your client to the correct game server. After you have entered the game, there is a constant communication between your client and our game server which allows you to perform certain actions with your character, but also checks if your client is still working. -------There are severe hardware issues, i.e. data communication, cables, relays, etc... between the database and login servers for two entire regions. The worst part is, the Jawas were actually sent to steal the coffee machine. Silly critters messed up and stole the servers instead!

Meanwhile, while the BH get the servers back, BW employees can still enjoy their coffee.

Just want to add for what it's worth, as someone who has played WoW for many, many years, that random server crashes used to happen there at such a frequent rate that I didn't even think twice about it. The fact that they don't happen here nearly as often and people freak out if they do is probably a good thing, lol.

True... but first they have to eliminate 54 Jawa forces, 12 Jawa Enforcer droids and destroy 8 malfunctioning computers. In the final stage they will have to summon the Rogue SW Engineer that started it all.

It is going to take some time.

So SQL server is f'ed up. I buy that

This wouldn't have anything to do with the recently released (Thursday) Windows Updates, by any chance?
