Judging the game too harsh

And fail... I don't play WoW cuz my guild is here. The WoW system, in of itself, is far better than ToR's. I don't remember WoW giving me headaches 6 months after release because some raid zone was still bug-ridden. I can count on this game having more bugs affecting my day-to-day playing than both Rift and WoW combined when patches came out. Hands down. Also, I never recall having the stupid GCD problem this game has in terms of GCD's activing, but abilities not actually activating...

PvP is NOT fine. PvP is in shambles. PvE is 4 Ops...the different "modes" don't make the encounters different enough to qualify them as anything "new" either.

Don't get me wrong Tim...I have HOPE for SWTOR! But I will not let people twist the reality of what this game is today, it's fun for me, but it's a complete freaking mess right now!!!
/agree with most of this.

For me, I have fun in the game but I've never, ever, been "hooked" by it.

I'll play it till it's no longer fun, then I'll quit it and I won't be upset or feel that it was a waste of money.

I don't think it's a complete mess but it has an unbelievably bland and white bread PvE experience, and that's why I play MMO's. To sum it up, I'd say they made a great-looking game that worked amazingly well from launch, but they aimed incredibly low on the gameplay.

Your analogy is terrible. That's like asking, "What if the iPhone 1 came out today? Do you think it would be as successful?" No, of course not. There's been improvements in the iPhone (speed, clarity, functionality) that have been built along the way. But look at current Android phones. Aren't they better than the original iPhone? Yes. You're comparing current day Androids to first year iPhones... that's a terrible analogy. Try again.
May I ask if you ever played WoW pre-BC? Also yes things like ready check are very pointless and I don't see how you could hold such a tiny thing in such high regards.

And with not allowing mods they didn't bring in a customizeable UI. That's just terrible in this day and age. Stop trying to defend ToR for rushing the game. I don't get how you can defend them for leaving obvious MMO improvements out. As for the wardrobe feature in ToR, it's the most expensive wardrobe feature there is...
Most MMOs don't have customizeable UI.

Stop attacking TOR for things that every MMO save for WOW doesn't have or didn't add for years.

Ok so you didn't play WoW at launch.

No offense OP, but I personally feel not a single one of your talking points accurately portrays this game. Those are absolutely your own opinions.

We actually got more than 5-6. We have 16 now.

We got two IIRC up to three now.

Edit: For the last part I would reccommend unsubbing for a while It worked wonders for me.
No arenas... no open-world PvP realms like WoW had. Ilum open world PvP... rofl... yeah... how's that coming around?

I played in Vanilla through TBC. You're, once again, missing the point. You can say, that WoW's features when it came out, are subpar to ToR's at launch... but, once again, that's like comparing the first iPhone to current Androids. Not a fair comparison. So stop doing it.

And you totally didn't read how Rift had a customizeable UI since the get-go. What about the GCD lock feature... don't find that in WoW or Rift... never have.

Also, you keep missing the point. A lot of the features that are now in WoW were developed because of people playing with WoW. So you can't say it took years for it to come out in WoW when it was developed because of WoW. To use another analogy (because you keep missing the point), that'd be like complaining why horse drawn carriages didn't come out the gates with power windows. LIke, really?

That's wierd. WoW still gives me headaches and I only played it for 15 minutes when it launched.
I saw a gnome or halfling or something that looked like it should be partnered with a singing teacup and ran I for the exit. Never regreted that decision.

What instanced was bugged 6-months after release? I remember doing MC and Onyxia just fine at that time...
