b) all of my 6-7 levels 25-30 chars then, have not contributed ANYTHING to potential legacy as only the rush-to-50 play style seems to be rewarded/supported.

the whole point of legacy is to get alts to rush to 50. most of perks are for this purpose

i think you are missing my point.

if i play like i like to, leveling 8 alts at same time, i get 0 legacy contribution by them.

if i get an OBSCURE hint to play 1 first to lvl 32 until chapter I is finished and THEN level my 7 chars to 30, all of them contribute to legacy exp.

=========

DUE to the fact that this is neither made clear in game nor does it benefit all play styles, i feel justifiably apalled at such "features"

You mean like the big fat tooltip that says Legacy unlock after completing chapter 1 on a character? You didnt see that one? Now you are just trying to blame others.

I never said i like it but that the way it is. There are some fun features with legacy but most of them are for powerleveling to 50

Legacy is only really great for leveling and companion stuff. Once you get up a few levels into it, there is no reason to max Legacy yet. lvl 44 Legacy here and there is no special items or benefit. Which is dumb. Why even have Legacy go to 50 if you aren't going to use it?

Kinda the same with VIP people. There is no special items really worth the extra cost for those who paid to get CE or DDE. They also haven't added new content like they said they would for VIP people.

So have they actually fixed Legacy to where entering a surname and clicking create actually does something?

The fact is:

a) there is ZERO in-game lore or explanation how to reach some legacy points.
I don't think one has to read online instructions for an immersive game to get necessary info, nor do i intend to.

b) all of my 6-7 levels 25-30 chars then, have not contributed ANYTHING to potential legacy as only the rush-to-50 play style seems to be rewarded/supported.

WTG.
The funny thing is, rush to 50 isn't rewarded as much as you think because the easiest way to powerlevel is focus on the non-class quests. Doing heroics, flashpoints, ops, and every side and bonus mission ends up yielding more XP per session than just sticking to the class quests. So if you really wanted to get legacy fast, you'd only run your class quest as quick as you can, as it is class quest dependent an not level dependent. While you might not find level 50s who haven't achieved legacy unlock, you'll probably find plenty of level 30-40s who haven't just because they haven't finished Ch. 1. I know I have 2 characters myself at 35 who still haven't finished Tatooine...

Err... yes? Once you have a Legacy setup (which requires just one character to complete Chapter 1... exactly as it is stated in the game), then all characters contribute to the Legacy, regardless of their level. I have 10 characters on Jung Ma. One is currently Level 6. When she finishes a quest, I get Legacy XP for it. In fact, the last time i played her, she was the one to push me to a new Legacy level. By the time I finally got my first character to 50 (I only have two), I was already Legacy level 8.

The in-game point of a legacy is that it's based on some heroic accomplishment. Before the end of Chapter 1, you haven't really been that heroic. Once you have one character reach that point, it functions just as you expect.

Which IMHO defeats the whole Legacy Purpose.
How do you figure? the level 50 dailies net you 300K+ credits every day. That makes those expensive Legacy unlocks easily affordable if you're willing to invest a bit of time. And some, like the level 10 Speeder Training, are a godsend when leveling alts.

For me, Legacy was tantalizing at first, but when I found out how prohibitive the costs were in my opinion I lost interest. That's not to say it's a bad system, it's just a bit pricey on the low end.

Not a reason to stay, and I was hoping it would be. Didn't turn out for me that way.
