50% of my guild are not active since 1.4 dropped because of the stuttering. We're not even doing the new OP.
Huge bummer. For the first time ever, i'm considering cancelling.

I also have a gtx 570 and I can confirm that I have the stuttering issue. I do however have the latest drivers downloaded. If I play in fullscreen windowed mode it goes away though, so I'll just play in windowed until they find a real fix.

Some players in the thread have mentioned performance issues (which we are still working on as a high priority). You may need to lower your game settings, particularly by disabling shadows, until we are able to resolve the problem.

Thanks to everyone who reported issues they encountered, and for your patience as we continue to fix the others!
Patch 1.4 should have been tested longer on Test Server and not pushed out when BioWare ignored problems.

My guild and 2 others we ran with are all gone after 1.4 Patch. In 2 weeks the game has gone dead in the water.

Really ? The "fix" is NOT to disable shadows. It is to disable Crossfire. Lowering settings DOES NOTHING, ok ?
You are not your rig specs. You are not your K/D ratio. You are not your character level. You are not your sig.

The information is great for them on finding out where the root of the problem is. Surprisingly enough, complex systems sometimes require complex solutions. That may be why none of your proposed fixes are as easy to implement as you suspect. And if there is a workaround (ie. lowering your settings for the time being) so you can play the game but that's a dealbreaker, then I don't know if Bioware can do any thing to help you. Not sure if any developer can.

In short. Patience, young padawan.
No its not a matter of patience on our end its a matter of those PROGRAMMERS aka DEVs... Payin attention to the people telling them on the PTS side that its BROKE and not roll it over to the Live production system... But what do they do.... Ignore and follow along with breaking it.

Its a common thing with Developers... I know I have to deal with them in real life and from a Sys Admin standpoint cannot fathom how these clowns do not take lessons learned from a test environment and just go ahead and apply those broken issues to a working stable live system only to cause complete F ups abundant! Go ahead and throw the pressure of dev cycle to release out as well... Then that means your incapable of performing the duties you were hired for and should be shown the door or take the moral standpoint stand up tell your user base the problems (most will understand, sure the immediate entitlement crowd will cry fowl and run call that attrition/trimming fat imo), but let them know hey we had a release coming, its jacked we're gonna hold off to fix it right does that happen here? Nope

So in short... Spare me your pity patience BS... EA/Bioware has known since BETA its their poor re-design of a game engine and continual chopping/hacking away at it only making it generally worse the more they go, but hey since its MMOs and they have your sub money they get to get off free saying "its your computer not ours" when we've all clearly identified that even the damn MaximumPC Dream Machines chokes on this busted code...

Perhaps Bioware can prove in a FRAPs video on their setups how smooth/flawless the game runs while taking video of the fairies and unicorns running along side them since they seem to be in some mythical realm outside the normal we all get to reside in.

Nope ships already sinking so throw any worthless thing out to give the guise of actually adding content/doing something to calm the screams for the temporary time while you continue to collect what you can before complete belly up. History repeats itseslf... EA did the same exact thing to Earth and Beyond back in the day when they took over Westwood Studios... The fanbase was crying desperately to keep it alive and give the DEVs ideas/help, EA rode it into the ground after they did the exact same thing that is happening here... Gut the staff, scale back development, turn out junk and then in a couple months... Shut down servers lock away the code and hope no one remembers how they trashed a genre, community and great potential into the space MMO realm. Same thing going on here, replace Westwood Studios with Bioware, replace Earth & Beyond with SWTOR and bam history has come full circle and this was just 10 years ago...

And no this isn't someone rage quitting, this is someone who still plays, still enjoys the game just cannot stand in a corner quietly and watch as yet another game is destroyed by EA.

Holding back a patch for weeks because "some" are having graphics issues, but "many" are not does not really seem like the best approach. Clearly, if they borked everyones graphics performance there is no way it goes live. But when there is a minority of players impacted, yeah.... it must be fixed, but I don't see holding back a patch for issues affecting a minority of players. [And when I say minority of players, that in no way trivializes the impact to them or the importance of Bioware fixing the issues for them, so please don't go a ragin'.]

Many affected players without Crossfire or SLI (which are clearly separate issues) have found running the game in full screen windowed mode fixes the issue until it gets permananently fixed on Biowares side. Same for rolling back drivers for some, and the same for making in game adjustments for others. My point being, there are things players can do on their side of things to improve quality of play for them until Bioware stamps out the issue with a patch.
When you find yourself surrounded by hostile Clowns... always go for the "Juggler" first.

G'day.
I, too, am pleased with 1.4.1, namely crafting and chat window issues.
Noticed some fellow GTX 570 owners above with stuttering issues, which I had, and have since corrected as per this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=537254
Namely turning off supersample (even multisample) antialiasing transparency in the Nvidia Control Panel for this program. I'd be interested to know if, and hope, it works for you too.
Regards

Thanks!
Khem finally sounds again like he should, without that metallic twinge like he's speaking through a helmet.
Turning off his helmet slot cleans that right up. Awesome!
