Hi,

I am installing SWTOR on a new computer. After installing the initial discs, the patcher downloaded ~2 gigs of updates.

Unfortunately, it seems to be stuck at 0% installation.

To be most specific, it is stuck on Main Assets 85.

What can I do to fully install SWTOR?

Please go to www.swtor.com/download, download the latest launcher setup file and run the setup over the current installation.

After this when starting the launcher please make sure that you are starting it as Administrator and in Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode.

Also please ensure that you have added firewall and antivirus exceptions for SWTOR.exe and Laucnher.exe.

Hi, thank you for your response.

I have a Windows 7 machine - how do I put it into XP SP 3 compatibility mode?

Also, should I exit the current installer? It took 4.5 hours or so to download all the updates after my initial installation of the discs. I'd rather not have to do this lose the download.

You will not have to start all over again if you close the launcher, the download should resume from where it left of.

To run a program in Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode, right click on the SWTOR desktop shortcut icon, select 'Properties, select the 'Compatibility' tab and tick the box for 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' making sure that Windows XP (Service Pack 3) is selected from the drop down menu.

I have the same issue, but your workaround doesn't fix the problem. The problem occures when i was patching the game today.

Could you please delete the patcher.version and the retailclient_swtor.version files in your client installation folder (default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic)?

After deleting these files, please restart your computer and then try the patching process again.

Please come back to us with your Launcher log if the issue remains.
