Pentium D is a dual core. He should be able to run the game as long as he has a good enough graphics card. Core2duo is better than Pentium D but the 3GHz might make up for it. I play with core2duo 2GHz, 2GB ram, geforce 8400M GS 128MB.

You bought that system 2 years ago, your system is almost 4 years old.
I know as I last sold that cpu 4 years ago.

WoW is a 10 year old game, yes 10 years, as the engine used to create the game with.
Calling someone a troll who is trying to help shows you have no respect in the matter.

Simple fact you do need a new system. You can get a very basic one for about $600.
You need
Case
CPU
Ram 4GB
Video card
Power supply
HDD if yours is too old
DVD drive is yours too old
OS (if its not Windows 7)

The facts is, gaming will continue to change, and systems will be outdated very fast.
You run and hide...
