You have 80 level 50s? *blink*

I'm actually hoping it's NOT class story they work on, as that would be a real money pit IMO. I think they need to set aside ANY end game work and work on fixing bugs, creating repeatable content and adding customization and "sandboxy" features to the game to make it appeal to a wider audience.

Once they stabilize the population they can then work on end game content and class stories.

I'd love to see updates every 6 weeks. That being said, I absolutely do not believe for one second that they will do so. This falls FIRMLY in the category of "I'll believe it when I see it." I genuinely like this game and still have a lot of fun playing, but there is absolutely, positively no chance that this will ever happen. They didn't have enough stuff in the pipe at launch to provide updates more than once every 12 weeks. Then they laid off an enormous chunk of the development team. Now they expect us to believe they will somehow magically more than DOUBLE the development rate? There's no chance. It's not going to happen. Period.

Hey, I'd LOVE to be wrong on this one. And if I am, I will be happy to eat my words. Like I said, I'm still genuinely enjoying playing, and am happy to pay my monthly sub. But EAWare has the worst development pace I've ever seen in any MMO. This would be a slow update pace for an MMO 3 years old. It's almost unimaginable for a game less than a year old.

I will say this, however: in the EXTREMELY unlikely event that they manage to provide a decent track record of the substantive updates every 6 weeks as they are talking about I am quite sure that would have a very positive impact on sub retention and gaining new subs.

I don't expect them to come out with class stories with any regularity since the cost to produce a class story is probably much higher than we know. Writers, voice actors, recording studio, recording directors/technicians, cutscene/storyboard designers, animators. The number of man hours to produce one scene of dialogue is probably quite expensive. It's much cheaper to follow WoW's pattern/type of content releases. Personally I played WoW for years so the idea of WoW style raiding with lightsabers is mildly interesting to me but I doubt I'd stick around much if that's all SWTOR turns out to be in x months.

I would only expect class stories to advance when levels advance - so maybe once a year at most.

As far as 6-week updates, its easy enough for them to do that with stuff like last month, a rather underwhelming quest chain.

I am certain that Hood does't know what he is talking about (out of the loop) or else they retconned something from both the Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior story
Spoiler
Edit: Or it was something like that which was blatantly wrong.

It's been real but the game just wasn't worth the sub for me anymore.

It probably takes a lot longer than we realize to create eight new sets of gear; far longer than they had time to create it for the release of TfB. Probably why the gear in 1.4 is simply recolored BH/Campaign stuff (it was probably already planned a long time ago).

We'll probably see newly designed stuff (hopefully stuff that's not so awful and a little more "Star Wars."

My guess is that the new gear (not a recolored tier of the current models) will be with Makeb. They seem to be saving most of the big stuff to release all at once. The cynical part of me says that's so they can possibly justify charging subscribers for an "expansion" which includes all the content that was supposed to be in the 'new content every month!' mess.

And I'd take a major story update (new chapters) twice a year. That would work for me as long as there are the six week interval patches with significant pieces of content. Whether we'll see it, eh, I won't be holding my breath.
aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?

That is the question to take back to Mr. Schubert for which we need an answer.

When will we see "chapter 4", "chapter 5", etc ...?

Make sense?
This. If the story and dialogue will be exactly the same for every class in Makeb then I won't be bothered to lvl my alts.
